God bless the "Ignore" button.
seems since the mine train is shaping up as a E ticket, the folks who have been trying to tear it apart since the beginning are down to this.......name calling it!

Silly really

E ticket? Really?
This is correct. My mistake. My buddy works for lake buena vista construction co. and is not a cast member. I should've been more clear. Adults fit in the trains but it's a kiddie coaster. That's the point. A pretentious ride added to a pretentious area of MK. The only thing good about the new fantasyland is the theming. The reason I said it's the barnstormer 2 is because it's not much more thrilling than the barnstormer. It somewhere bwtween barnstormer and big thunder mountain. The trains are small though. Personally I think it's just like Everest - it's fun if you have a buzz from a few beers and sit in the back but other than that, it's nothing special.
So... you lied. Am I reading this correctly?

Yes Tuba...E ticket. Its a over the top design on a world known and loved Disney movie and characters. The design and theming are A + and the innovation of the swing cars easily puts it in the E ticket.

Un like some, a E ticket is not just a thrill ride.

Yup. They have cast member previews and I rode it with a buddy of mine who works for Disney.
Hmm.. As a current CM, none of us have heard of any softs. And I know NO company personnel can access the area due to active construction status.

In the opinion of Imagineering...it's a D. That's all it was ever meant to be.
It lacks the scale and scope to be an E.

Nothing wrong with a D.

Lee, we all have our opinions, What I see a amazing combination of all the factors of a new E ticket.

We are going in May in any case and I'll see what I think in the end.

Here's my thing... I think what you said above is absolutely reasonable. I don't agree with people who want to unecessarily hype this ride; granted, we have not seen the finish product, so it's one thing to say that it might be an E-ticket, but at this poitn based on what we know about it, a D-ticket is probably a better classification. Fine. People shouldn't be overselling it.

But the flip side is true as well. A lot of folks -- especially on these message boards -- seem to be overly dismissive of the 7DMT, with the frequent "just a kiddie coaster" criticism and almost indicating that it is a pointless addition. I think the scale is too far on that side as well, as this is a pretty substantial construction and should at a minimum be a solid addition that most everyone can enjoy.

I actually think that it is good when Disney adds "D-tickets" and increases capacity. In fact, IMHO, WDW is in more deperate need for a bunch of C- and D-ticket rides (esp at DHS and DAK) than it needs E-tickets. The main problem with those parks is "not enough to do" more than "the stuff that is there isn't that good". So, I hope that TDO doesn't get the impression that building C- or D-ticket attractions is only going get them grief because they aren't "good enough" and discourage them from building cheaper, capacity adding attractions that are needed.

Oh, I agree with much of that.
As I said, nothing wrong with a D.

I'm certainly impressed with the outside of the ride - what I've seen so far. It's got lots of character, plus it has that magic "feel" Disney is known for.

It's the INSIDE of the ride I'm nervous about.

I hope it is a good ride. My son is about 12 and he has been very excited to ride it. But he did become skeptical about how thrilling the ride will be, being the height requirement is only 38 in. when even stitch has a height requirement of 40in.
