That's when we arrive. I have FPs set for our first day in the park. Second day the ride will officially be open for business.

For those of you missing the official opening, good luck on soft openings! We experienced the same thing with the Little Mermaid in 2012 and got lucky. Fingers crossed for you guys!

Any idea if they will do something special on the official opening day? Or does the dedication ceremony they already had count as the opening celebration? When I was booking FP+ right after they opened up, I didn't see any available for earlier than 11:00 am on opening day. They may just have been booked already, but I just wondered if there would be some event that morning. At the time I booked I was able to book basically any time slot for all of opening day other than prior to 11:00 am and I had no other conflicting FP in that block.
