MK Seven Dwarf mine train needs some help.

I was in line for the Dwarfs Mine Train and it was an 80-minute wait. Along comes a girl who barged right through the line saying "My family is waiting for me." Then, off she went , further and further into the line, eventually disappearing from my view. Then, a minute later, a young man says the same thing, pushing everyone aside "My family is up ahead." Off he went, into the sunset.

I never saw either of them again, I figure they managed to get their way pretty far ahead into the line.

I wonder if they ever caught up to their family. LOL

I'm simply refering to the term 'E-ticket'. It's quite obvious to even new guests what the attractions are that have the WOW factor. I'm just saying I don't agree with the term still being used, not to mention there are no ticket books anymore. I agree with you about everything...the length of the ride, the best rides, etc...everything you said. No point in still using the term E-ticket. My opinion.

I believe Sally Ride called her first Space Shuttle mission 'The Ultimate E ticket' so I think people are very much aware of what E-Ticket means. ie the best attraction we have to offer PERIOD.

The family should have waited at the beginning of the line for their wayward daughter...otherwise that is just line-cutting and should be reason for immediate park expulsion.

This practice drives me out of my mind!

I swear, one day I will block someone attempting this while yelling out; "You Shall Not Pass!"

I saw a couple of teenagers do that one time and the guy a couple of people in front of me stood in the middle of the line and wouldn't let them pass. They kept saying they were trying to meet their family but the guy ignored them and just stood in front of them. They tried to get around him and he would shift to block them. He was a big guy. We inched along toward the load area and when we could see the entire load area he says to them "Where is your family?" The teens hemmed and hawed about maybe they got on or didn't wait,etc. The guy called a CM over and told the CM that the teens had pushed their way through the line and had been cutting in front of other guests. When the teens spoke up several people around them chimed in about the teens cutting line. The CM took the teens to the exit and told them to leave. That man was a hero.

Who cares if your family is up ahead on the line?
What does that mean?
Just how long a period of time can you show up after your family, and expect to be able to cut through the whole cue to meet them? (Assuming they are telling the truth.)
I've seen people use their cel phones to call friends or family members who then show up and barge through the line to meet them.

I agree. The way I currently handle it is to say "AND?" And if they say something back (and many times they are surprised someone said something back to them) I usually respond by saying "I have been online for X couple of minutes, where have you been all that time?" I usually won't stand in their way but I do make it a little more difficult for them. You got to have fun sometimes.

By the end of our trip we didn't let anyone through. Then we told the CMs they were line jumpers at load. They were then escorted out of the attraction. Had this also happen at FP in MK waiting for the 3pm parade several times in the span of 30 minutes. We told the CMs every time, and the people were kicked out of the FP area every time.

If you see line jumpers report them. The CMs are very good at resolving the issue. The no speak english don't work anymore.

The EXACT SAME THING happened to us while waiting for the second showing of Fantasmic in DHS.

this is not directed at anyone in particular just my random thoughts about the negative comments across all the boards about children, and by children I mean birth to about 10 or 11

omg honestly lighten up .... anywhere you go there is going to be somebody doing something that someone doesn't agree with... dear lord so you had to wait 10 seconds for the line to move forward then stop..... its the hurry up to wait syndrome... not to mention Disney making people more dependent on smart phones in the park ... kids will be kids... and parents should parent... raising kids is prolly 10 times tougher just trying to shelter them from the media blitzkrieg of things they don't need to know about... then you have to watch out for drugs in the schools as early as 5th grade .... 5th freaking grade!!!! not to mention the moment a kids does start running around and acting like a kid you are told to make them stand still. people who talk about the lines... well 20 years ago the lines were not what they are now.. how many people out there have 2 to 5 year olds that stand in 100 degree heat with there hands folded say please and thankyou and are able to make more then 30 min in a line... I think the problem is not the kids its people have lost the patients/ability to socially interact with other people including kids.. everyone is looking for a problem and if that ruins your trip it was prolly ruined before you started... because if you expect Disney to be a military boot camp where everyone follows every order and direction it isn't... never gonna be. now I am sure I will get some flaming for my post and so be it, normally I am the humorous guy on the boards but I am so sick of the whining and complaining and everyone thinking they could do better and there children where angels.
by the way when we are in line I tend to interact with the people around me ....we have met some of the nicest people in line who not only loved the way my daughter twirled her dress but had lengthy conversations about the wicked step sisters, to where to find hidden mickeys at 3 years old she was very interested... if the parents seem cool which we are for the most part... maybe say hi to the kids who are having a ruff day ... ask them what there favorite ride is.. maybe you could make a little magic for someone else, or help a struggling parent out. pay it forward!!!!
one last thing.... interactive que are annoying for the most part... cant they make the que a conveyour belt and have the interactive parts move with you lol at least you wouldn't have to move from your spot constantly

I really like this ride....I think it's fun. But I still expected so much more out of it. Will def ride it a lot more....but I still want more from it. 2 more scenes I would have been in love with this ride. Like The Evil Queen and the witch are totally sickening!!! We had 3 FP+ scheduled, did one wait on standby for 40 minutes, and received a comp FP, so we rode it 5 times total. Yeah we loved it that much.

Unless it's a 5th park, I don't see Disney building a huge roller coaster. IMO it just won't fit into any of the parks. Giving how rides are themed specifically for a ride. Unlike universal where a green painted track makes it a Hulk ride. Love'em or hate'em Disney doesn't do that. If you take a look at all the "coasters" throughout the parks they are all themed to where you can't see a track. I for one would be turned off by walking through any park and seeing and hearing a full blown coaster go by over head or where ever. It would cheapen the whole park experience for me. So unless it's a 5th park I'm not for a full blown coaster in the existing parks.

Haven't they already? Everest is a pretty solid coaster.
I agree that, theming wise, it's a challenge, but the Imagineers have the brains if the bean counters would give them the money.

In my opinion it's all about the quality. If a ride, sign, character, or special effect is malfunctioning or falling apart it needs to be taken care of and fixed within a few days of the problem. Making rides out of cheap material is only going to cost them more money to complete all of the repairs they will have to do. Quality people! It should be all about quality. It's enough to make Mr. Walt Disney himself roll over in his grave multiple times. Disney is NOT Disney. Makes me sad

I've not seen the attraction, but if the animatonics are from the old ride, I agree. Cutting corners to save a few dollars by reusing old technology is ridiculous.

They are, I believe they did it as a tribute but, it would make sense to replace them with the new AA's used in the mine train because its a huge difference coming out of the mine and seeing this crappy figures

I agree 100%. 25 years ago when we went people around us would all be talking in line and as a kid I'd be able to meet all kinds of other people. Now, it's impossible to start a conversation and what happens? The younger kids get so bored because they can't see anything except a sea of people everywhere they look. No opportunity to let off that steam while in line any more.

Having kids, the first thing I'd do when I saw someone else struggling was to start a conversation with them and their kids. Yeah, they gave me a weird "why are you talking to us" look, but they got over it after a minute or two and you know what else, the kids forgot they were upset and started talking to their parents about something else. Redirection is the name of the game.

Gotta pay it forward. Even though one of ours got hurt on a ride, we still did.
