Unclear.
The plans I have only show the coaster's maintenance area back there.
That said, they're going to need a Mermaid shop somewhere. That spot makes sense.

I've posted this before but there still appears to be some confusion. They are still building TLM gift kiosks/shops and FP distro spot behind the SDMC attraction. Look at the following picture and behind the large concrete structure (with the ladder from ground level to the roof) you will find the same layout/shapes for the buildings in the second picture below. These structures will not be for SW maintenance as they have no access to the main building whatsoever.

Could be a false front to make it appear like a village with buildings you can't actually go into.
That makes sense. A kiosk would fit.

Well...I guess we can't be too greedy...they already got a candle to talk.
Perspective is off. That is a fairly large area and would serve the purpose of small stores or kiosks.

yeah, I agree, they don't look big enough to walk into. Maybe they will have kiosk out front sort of like an open air market and those buildings will just be for storage. I also am guessing that the tent shown in the model will be Fastpass distribution.

Now that I look at it closer, you may be right. Using he porta-john as a reference, the building to the left would be about 16'x16' which is would be big enough for a small store, and that doesn't include the narrower areas to the right of it.

My guess is that there will be a kiosk for certain things by the mine train and then the exit of LM by Scuttle will have a small gift store. My guess also is that the mine train gift shop across from the SDMT where the original mine train gift shop will remain there for snow white souvenirs. If they do build a gift shop attached to the mine train, I bet the current seven dwarves mine gift shop will be re purposed into princess paraphernalia.

I think now even the most cynical can see why some were so optimistic when this plan was announced.
That is quite the scrim around Yankee Traders. I still think there is still the possibility of a m&g. There is space.
I can't wait to see the MK circa 2021. I am sure I will get back there by then.

Wow, it really seems like they are getting down to business with the SDMT, really accelerating (of course it has been a while since I last saw aerials).
The new pavement is either really well done or still dirt from construction. Can't tell where it starts/ends. Are the brown areas surrounding the exposed castle wall just themed pavement or was this pulled up?
Also, I'd love to see how they are going to get that crane out. I guess it will go under that extension by LM or something.
