Man, that would really rock if the sneak previews happened on the 15th....that's our last day in the World. Might have to check out Epcot that morning...

I heard from a friend that they will be running the ride for training and testing and they may do tests with the guests to see how they like it. (that's starting this week!) But, of course, no official schedule or anything, but you happen to be at SSE at just the right time you could get lucky.
I don't think everything is finished yet, they are still working on items. I heard from the 180 top to all the way back down, just watch the video console because there won't be anything else to look at except for some fiber optic lights.

Embarassingly, I had a similar dream about a week ago. You'd reach 180Top and it was very open and lighted up, and surrounded by white girderwork. And the descent was like a coaster... it's like they took the breaks off and you just sped backwards down the track. All the supporting structure around you had been cleared away, so there was just this isolated track in this huge open space.
It was unsatisfactory, but pretty exciting.

Mine involved the load area being a lounge and the vehicles had been changed to these almost pod-shaped vehicles. I think I woke up there; bummer.

Orlando Sentinel reported that SE would reopen in Mid-December for sneak previews...so I guess it's offically going to have an unofficial opening.
There's also some info in their story about the musical score, if you're interested.
I have been here since Nov 24th staying at Beach Club have asked the CMs that are posted every day outside SSE they have said there is absolutly no truth to early openings several have even laughed and said "you must have read that on one of those Disney Newsboards"
I'm here till the 8th I'll keep checking(even though they seem to laugh when asked)
I know Im of subject but thought a samll trip report would be ok and informativeAs for the rest weather is warm, crowds very low during week larger weekends. Walk up dining has been easy for lunch with exception of Rose and Crown and Le Celliar. Dinner without a reservation TOTALLY IMPOSSIBLE. DDP has ruined any chance of that.
We tried twice saying we were on DDP and were told without ADRs forget it. (even though we are not on DDP) Tried and told them DDE not DDP got seated at Rose and Crown in about 25 minutes, seems they are trying to make you use ADRs with DDP perhaps so you cant use all your credits??????

Eh? Everyone needs an Advanced Dining Reservation to be assured of getting in. People with the Disney Dining Plan or Disney Dining Experience need to make ADR's just like everyone else. It's just a reservation. How you pay (or use meal credits) has nothing to do with needing a reservation to get in.
Edit to add an on topic comment:
Do we know if the walls will actually come down, or if they'll leave them up since it's just an occasional *grabbing* of people to ride. Also, is it possible they will pull people in through Project Tomorrow?

On the topic of SSE opening..

I will be there with a group of 14 from the 7th - 15th. I think we officially have enough to take over SSE.
