Found the reusable bags for sale yesterday at the Disney Outlet in my local outlet mall. The had a Jack Skellington one and one with a Mickey face on it. They were selling like hotcakes

I don't mind paying for one, but $2.95 is kinda hefty, considering I only pay $1.00 for the ones they sell at the local supermarkets, Target, etc.

Triple the price is a large premium for a Disney-fied bag!!!

Yeah that's my problem with them. I already have about 10 reusable bags that I use for grocery shopping and I'm ALL FOR reusable bags. Not only are they great for the environment, they are sturdy and hold a lot more and give you less trips to the car. But I don't think I'd be willing to pay $3 a piece for them. Maybe I'd buy ONE of them, but not 10 like I did with the $1 ones at the grocery store.

To use them on future trips, you'll need to purchase the No Biodegrade Option (sounds contrary to green, but really isn't) for an additional $80.

If you'd like to be able to parkhop with the bag, you will of course need the Hop Carry Option for $50.

Otherwise, you can purchase Deluxe Reusable Bags for all 4 theme parks for $199 or Premium Reusable Bags for all attractions including water parks and Disney Quest for $249.

Price increases are expected Jan. 1 and Aug. 1 of 2009 so buy now!

(The bags are cute and a good idea... this joke is in now way meant to devalue the bag, I'm a Disney fan and I support this message)

I thought Disney would have done this ages ago. Here in the Channel Islands and the UK you have to take re-useable bags to pretty much every shop otherwise you'll be carrying your purchases.
I will definately be buying some when I go back in May 09, my DW will love them.
I have to agree though, having the normal carrier bags is great. My DW loves to give our friends and family their souveniers in Disney bags. It's also nice to re-use them when we get back home, mainly to brag that we've been to Disney:p
