Fishy, totally OT but I tried to go back to SW.com and apply the credit, and it wouldn't let me. :mad:

Try calling them tomorow - they might let you. I've always had good luck when I talk to them in person.

Edit - it helps if you act like you don't know much about computers.....

It's called a Caramel Apple cream Pie - it's soooooo good. I waslooking for a new recipe for Thanksgiving (I do desserts) so I'll definitely use this.

hang on and I'll post the recipe.


Caramel Apple Cream Pie​

(Serves 8)
  • 9 Inch Pastry Shell 1
  • Butter 1/4 Cup
  • Brown sugar 1/2 cup
  • Large Apples, peeled and cut into 1/2 inch pieces 4
  • Cinnamon 1/2 Teaspoon
  • Allspice 1/4 teaspoon
  • Nutmeg 1/4 teaspoon
  • Flour 2 tablespoons
  • Caramel Ice cream topping 1/2 cup
  • Walnuts, chopped 1/2 cup
  • Cream Cheese 8 Ounces
  • Sugar 1/4 Cup
  • Egg 1
  • Lemon juice 1 tablespoon
  • Vanilla 1 teaspoon
  • Whipped Cream As Desired
METHOD OF PREPARATION
  1. Preheat an oven to 350 degrees.
  2. In a large skillet, melt the butter and brown sugar; stir in the apples, half of the cinnamon, nutmeg and allspice. Cook mixture for 10 minutes, stirring constantly.
  3. Add the flour and mix well.
  4. Pour the caramel sauce in the empty pie shell and add the walnuts; spoon in apple mixture and set aside.
  5. In another bowl, add the cream cheese, sugar, lemon juice, the egg and vanilla and beat until fluffy.
  6. Spread this over the apples and bake for 40 minutes; then cool on a rack.
  7. Add remaining spices to whipped cream and serve with a dollop of spiced whipped cream on top of pie.

Hello Dot! :kiss: My carpet is hideous, TBH, so many stains...my house looks like my late MIL's. I loved her, but she was not a housekeeper. This is really not the way I wanted to take after her. Although it does explain how DH can more readily put up with it than me. :hammer:

My parents had the right idea when they built their house. Linoleum everywhere but the living room. And the carpet was so hideous in the 70's the dirt was never noticed. :lol:
My parents had tile everywhere - my youngest brother was severely asthmatic as a child, so we were not allowed to have carpeting at all.
