Hey Nibbs.

This might be a dumb question, but if you don't have photoshop.
How do you know the size of your pictures? And how do you resize them if they are too big?

I just saw the debate on your rules thread, and I entered a few pictures in the last few contests, and did not even think to check if they were size appropriate. I am guessing they were since you accepted them, but just for future reference...

Yes...yours were size appropriate.

The way I find out the size of an image is by right clicking on the image, going to properties, and it will tell you the deminsions of the pic...for example...do that on this pic...

And it will tell you the dimensions are 800x531. (This photo would actually be too big for the contest) To resize, I actually do use photoshop, however, some people use things like paint, I believe. Also, if you upload your pics to photobucket, it has a resizing feature, and it has specific sizes you can resize your photo to. So, you can resize it to message board size, avatar size, etc. It's really easy, it just doesn't work for me for some reason.

Does that kinda help?

That helps immensely.
I think mine are normally 1024 X something or other when I take them on my camera.

But I always upload them to photobucket. Maybe it just sizes it down without me knowing.

Thanks for the help! :)

It does size them down. At least to 800x600. After that, I believe then you have to do it. But I'm not 100% sure about how that works.

Hi guys.
I'm home with my sick 2 year old.
I had to pick him up at day care. They called and said he has hand, foot, and mouth disease. Have you guys heard of that? I hadn't. I guess it's a very common, very contagious virus that causes low grade fever, mouth blisters, rashes, and all kinds of nasty stuff. My poor little guy.
So, he's resting and I'm hanging out on the computer for a bit.
How's everyone today?

Yes! I've heard of it!

My best friend worked at a daycare for a while...and I heard her talking about it and how she didn't want to catch it.
