If I can pipe in here for a minute on this topic. Last year I had just gotten home from work Saturday afternoon when there was a call from a credit card company. "Hello, this is your credit card company. Please stay on the line and an associate will be right with you." I thought, what the heck, I'm not interested in upgrading, deffering, or getting a new credit card, leave me alone. I almost hung up, when they stated they wanted to verify if I made the following charges. I informed them that I had not made the charges. They promptly cancelled my card and all the fun stuff for a stolen number.
I was glad that I took the time to listen instead of just hanging up or ignoring the phone call.
Just food for thought.
