Seasons Change But MagicFriends are Here to Stay!

Oh, I hope for it too. The only thing we can hope is that somewhere along the lines soon, people will start waking up and realizing that going homecoming dress shopping with your daughter and finding her the sluttiest outfit for the dance isn't the right bonding that you should be doing and various other things like that. Just when you think that you hear something that can't get any more outrageous, I hear something else that just makes me sad for society. The sad thing, I know more than people like Britney Spears about parenting, yet I'm younger and don't even have kids yet.

Scary!:zipit:

I was thinking of you!
I loved it, but I was worried that George was going to have an attitude all season. Then at the very end. . . :sohappy: I know there will be trouble ahead but at least he admitted the truth! I love those two!!!!
And did I miss something. . .on the last show of the season, Meredith was "so over" Derrick and I couldn't understand why. She was the one who kept pulling back, but for reasons I obviously missed she treated him like trash. What did I miss?
I love them too. Even though he's married and that's bad, I still love them.

Yeah I don't understand the whole Derrick/Meredith thing either...they confuse me. I like her sis, though!

You know, I always think that having all these rules is way extreme...then I hear about stories like these...and think, nope...maybe there is a reason for things like this...especially to hear that a mother would do that to their daughter. I really do weep for the next generation of kids...with people like Britney Spears having children (b/c trust me, there are more like her in the world...) things are just going to get worse before they get better.

Scary but true

I hope not. I have my children that want children. I would hate for my grandkids and great grandkids to be worse and see worse than this.

I agree...me too. It's kind of nice. We all have this great sounding board and we get to hear so many different sides of things...all well knowing that we love each other and don't fight...usually.

That's why our influence matters so much as parents. What we think and how we teach passes on to our kids, and they pass it on too. If we abdicate our responsibilities, like the Britney Spears of the world, then the scenarios I have described will continue. But we have lots of good moms here, and lots of future moms here that are awesome too.

I like her sister, too. What she did for George was nice!
George shouldn't have married Callie. That was a mistake, and now he has to deal with it.
Meredith has always gotten on my nerves.

I think the problem is a lot more of moms are trying to be buddy buddy instead of parental.

I don't have a problem with a mom that you can talk to, you know, really talk to and all, but there does need to be a line drawn somewhere. I don't think these parents want to draw that line though. They're too busy having fun with their teenagers.

Joanna, don't look at it that way! There is an end in sight!
And you've got a plan. Be happy!

Is this happy enough for you?:lookaroun

Not really. Trust me...this next year will go by so quickly, you won't even realize it!

I hope so.

Exactly. Communication is key - but it still needs to be a benevolent dictatorship. :animwink:
