i think the K-mart line is part of the show...... i saw it 2 weeks ago and it was in there.imagineer boy said:When the Lion King Broadway show premiered at the local theater, Simba nearly killed himself. In the "I can't wait to be King" musical segment Simba and Nala come out riding tall puppet Ostriches, from a rising curtain. But the curtain didn't raise in time, so it hit the feathers of the Ostrich, which pulvarized Simba in the face, and he fell off! Those Ostrich puppets are pretty tall and off the ground too. So Simba limped throught he rest of the number until the wierd crazy colored curtain came down. The poor actor who played Zazu had to put on a small comical routine comenting that the crazy looking stage curtain looked like a shower curtain from K-Mart. Finally, he ran off the stage and comicly hit is head against the side of the stage and finally running off. The show paused for a long time before they could get another actor to play simba all ready.

Yes, that happened in early 2003. To be more specific, the techs hit the button for the trap door a second too early, Indiana (I think the stuntman's name was Trey, or Troy...I don't remember) was still tightening his carabeaner (sp?) and he fell 30 feet. But he wasn't taken off by helicopter. Guests were escorted out, cast members asked for any video tape anyone had, and EMTs came out. He was assisted while there were no guests to watch.LSUxStitch said:1)Indiana Jones fell from a zipline or something of that sort, and he had to be rushed to the hospital by helicopter.
You have no idea how dangerous that can be. Mickey falling could stop the show. And you're right- it's not 4 stories. It's about 22)Mickey fell off the mountain top of Fantasmic, which isnt too bad b/c it's not like he fell 4 stories but far enough lol.
Um...that's gotta be a stretch. That DID happen, but in DAK's first year, which means NOT 2003. The keepers didn't realize how close a storm was, and didn't round up all the animals in time. There was footage from a guest riding Kilimangaro Safaris, but I think it was confiscated.3)This one is true definitely b/c I was there in my office when we got a call from some friends in Animal Kingdom. Since Florida is mother of all Lightning storms..one of the giraffes was unlucky during one of the storms. It was eating from a tree and the lightning struck it in it's head making it explode. (The exploding part could be exagerrated but it is what they told us on the phone) This was back in 03.

MousePad member Davidscot witnessed an accident at the Indiana Jones Stunt Spectacular on Saturday, March 15. He said, "During the part where Indy hangs from a tow line, for some reason, the line snagged sending him into the air. He landed on the pavement on his neck. He didn't move and many people rushed around him and immediately put up a barrier so the audience couldn't see him."
Another MousePad member watched as the actor, Kyle McDuffie, was transported to a local hospital by helicopter. According to the Orlando Sentinel McDuffie was treated for injuries to his head and shoulders. Theme Park Insider reports that the actor is in critical condition, but that his injuries are not life-threatening. A Disney spokesman said that the "equipment was functioning properly," and that Disney is evaluating the cause of the accident.

Update: 6 months after his fall, he came back to work as one of the stuntmen in black. About 2 months later, he was back in the fedora.

peter11435 said:Umm. No. From the WDW magic main site. "The mountain stands approximately 57.5 feet above the water." That’s far more than 2 stories, in fact its more than 4 stories. And I highly doubt Mickey ever fell from the top of the mountain. He is safely attached to a device to raise and lower him, and if he did fall it would be all over the news as he would have been severely injured if not killed. My guess is this is a CM story that got mixed up a bit. Mickey has fallen down the stairs on the mountain before, most likely that story got twisted into the mouse falling from the top of the mountain.
