I really like your first christmas page, uponastar! I especially love the ribbon across the bottom. It looks very festive!

Thank you!

wow. i really really like this page, it works so well together.

now the only thing i would take a closer look at is the shadows. especially the mickey head, since he is on top, he would defiantly have a shadow.

but aside from that, i actually love this page. as mouselvrmom said, it is very festive!

i might scraplift the theme for this one.

Thank you Eagles!
I do appreciate your input.
I'm only just learning shadowing. . .I'll work on that mickey head!
Thanks again and scraplift away!

I had a good time doing this one.
And I learned a lot!

I love this page Dot! Very Christmassy!

Where did you get the Mickey head, and the little Mickey with presents? I have never seen anything like that.

Nice page, eagles! I love the fact that the circles on the bottom look like skate wheels. Very creative!

Okay, Eagles!
I worked on the dropshadows and my hubby taught me how to tweak my pics a little better. (I tend to not give my pics enough attention when laying out a page. I have to work on that.)
So I'm posting this again so everyone can see how subtle changes make a difference!
Thanks again Eagles! Still learning. . .

Looks great. The slight tweaks you made to the main picture make it look a lot better!

eagles, I love your first skating page! Like Coree, I love how the three circles at the bottom look like a skate. I also like how the curved paper on the side looks like the side of a skate. I also like how you showed the bruised picture. And the paper with the circles was exactly what I was talking about when I thought of skating. Good job!

Okay, I'm not happy with the way the colors are turning out in the photo, but I've tried several times and this is as good as it gets.

To tell the story behind this page (if you can't read the journaling), DD fell at daycare and hit her eye on the corner of a table, getting her very first black eye. At home that same night, she was sitting on the piano bench. Getting down, she slipped and fell off hitting her other eye on one of her toys on the floor behind her--black eye number two. So she had double black eyes from two separate incidents less than 8 hours apart.

Thanks Minnie.
I just google "mickey mouse head" and "mickey mouse Christmas pin" and click on "images". Then I pick what I want and in the case of the head I changed the color. With the pin, I used the magnetic lasso to separate it from its background. I'm not all the good with the lasso yet, but I'm getting better!

Coree!
I love your page! Again, it's wonderful to see the memories you girls are creating. I wish I had done this sort of thing when my girls were little. Those black eye pics. . .They'll bring a smile to your face for years!

Seriously, eagles, after about the first two minutes she was totally fine, despite looking horribly pathetic. That bottom left photo was taken probably 10 minutes after getting the second black eye and she's just sitting there watching Barney and eating grapes, happy as a clam. It's truly amazing how resilient the little ones are.

They already do. When I was trying to decide what to do for this week I came across these photos and had to chuckle. It was an easy choice. Not that I like seeing her all bruised, but it was just too crazy that she gave herself two black eyes in the same day.Yikes!

Oh, Coree! That page is too funny! I think it's great that you're capturing all kinds of memories, not just the warm fuzzy ones. Although I think I see a pattern emerging here, do I need to make a phone call? :lookaroun:ROFLOL:

You know, I told people the weekend after it happened that I was glad I had the accident report from daycare to prove how at least one of them had happened.

I didn't think I was going to participate in this challenge because I didn't have a first lying around waiting to be done, and I thought of doing first stay at the disneyland hotel, but I didn't want to do it without pictures. Anyway, I was sitting down to think of what I would do for my next page and I realized that I was looking at Lainey's first sleepover party. So I threw together a spread for that.

Great pages, Jenn. I like the way the pink in the papers and letters brings out the pink in the photos.
