Oh, I love that page, uponastar! It is awesome! I love the train as the focal point and then that great picture in the corner. Nice! :)

I agree completely. The treatment on the train is wonderful. I also really like the tag treatment and the way it's "attached" to the photo. Great layout!

i like it also, like it alot.

curious though, how did you extract your train?

Thank you, eagles!

I did it very quickly, by using the magnetic lasso. I then went in and cleaned it up, using the background eraser, and repaired some spots using the clone stamp. The flag and the rod on the front of the train...the ones that rest on the paper background...I could not catch those with the lasso, so I just lassoed them separately from the original photo, then copied and pasted them.

how long did that take you?

i know i have spent several hours sometimes getting rid of a background, and that train looks like it took some time.

love the magnetic lasso.

Great page, Dot! I'm very impressed by the way you cut out the train too - it must have been very fiddly!

Fiddly! Love that word! :)
Using the magnetic lasso in this case, I just ran it quickly around the train and let it do what it does. It wasn't perfect...took out chunks that should have been left, and vice versa. So it was, indeed, a bit fiddly, but I guess I spent about an hour fine tuning it. It's not perfect, but it works for this challenge.

I finished! I know Autopia wouldn't count as transportation in the photo contest but I'm assuming we're all to nice to care when there's no contest involved?:D

My tag is hard to see but What A Ride is on the tag. Also the pictures look really blurry in this picture but they're not!:

Very cool page, Tammy! I love how you have the one focal point photo that commands your eye, but then the other three photos there too.

yeah, me too! i love how you use (or is it not use) blank space.

autopia, is that anything like disney worlds speedway? it seems to me though that there it is a car, which would put it in the transportation category for scraping purposes. :)

I love it, Tammy! It really catched your eye! I have that same picture that you have on the top from our last trip. Although mine is a little blurry because I was driving with Bella and she is not the best driver.
