Sci-Fi Dine in Theater vs 50s Cafe

We LOVED everything about the Sci-Fi, food and atmosphere. 50's was good but Sci-Fi's atmosphere blew it away. I say if you have a big group and you all want to experience dinner together go with 50's. Sci-Fi's atmosphere is dark, like a drive-in at night. The speakers are right next to your car so it doesn't lend for much conversation other than with the person sitting right next to you. My husband and I ate this up!! The kids were consumed by the movies and we just sat back and relaxed while sipping on our Space Monkey's!!

I think the seating at sci-fi is gonna be akward for a B'day celebration....We were there last year and took up a whole car with the 8 of us and it made it difficult to talk with anyone who wasnt in your row....

I would lean toward the 50's Prime time as that is more of a sit down restaurant and nicer meals. Also to me Sci Fi is just a glorified burger joint.

But if atmosphere is important and your dad really likes Sci Fi I'd do that one.

I really like all four of those restaurants.

I feel that for your situation 50s Prime Time may be the way to go. We love the fun atmosphere there. I think your dad would get a kick out of the decor and how you are treated there. It would be fun for a birthday party type family affair.

Sci Fi has a great atmosphere as well, but it is dark and you wouldn't be seating in a way that you could easily talk to each other. I think the biggest table size is 6? So it just doens't scream birthday celebration to me.

Crystal Palace is one of our faves for character dining, but it is a buffet and the food does not seem very formal to me. It's ok, but I go more for the characters and ambience of the place.

I love, love, love Le Cellier, but it can be hard to get into. If you can get in, it would definitely be a great place if you're looking for a more formal place.

I think he would enjoy the theming of the 50's PTC. He is old enough to remember the era and it's accoutrements.

I HATE 50's Prime Time with a passion and would rather go hungry than eat there. The food is mediocre and the whole premise to me is stupid. I'm paying for my food so if i want to leave some I will and don't expect to get grief about it.
