Say My Name!!!

Vince, if your teacher refuses to acknowledge that your name is Vincent, simply refuse to answer to Victor. If you don't see Vincent on the sheet, ask him where your name is and when he points to Victor, tell him that isn't you. REFUSE to be called Victor. Do not answer to it.

My third grade teacher insisted upon calling me Kristian, after myself and my mother telling her numerous times that it's Kristen. I also get Kristine, Kirsten, and Kristina a lot. Plus, when they do get my name right, they have spelled it like Kristin, Christen, Christin, Krysten, or some other thing that is not KRISTEN.

In college, I used to introduce myself to people in bars as "Rock Savage", "Dirk Studly" or "Gary Rainbow" depending on my mood. My friends would often back me up with a back story about my career as a star (straight or gay, again, depending on my mood)

I had a friend who looked just like the guy who played "Ernie" on "My Three Sons", so we used to always tell people he was the actor (it would have helped if we knew the real actor's name, and if my friend wasn't ten years too young, but I've found drunk people will believe anything).

I thought there was a formula for finding your name... the name of your first pet combined with the name of the street your first house was on? Surely we've already had a thread about this somewhere. :lookaroun  If I'm remembering correctly, I'd be Toto Yellowood.

Roland was forced upon me as I escaped the womb. I come from a long line of Rolands... But the Roland stops here! :lookaroun

Gerald is the Middle name... I have gone by Jerry my whole life... dont use Roland except for tax paper work... Drivers Liscense etc... stuff like that...

I mean.. I think its classy to... But I guess it comes from years of torture and name calling when I was a child (and even an adult now..lol) ... Is why I dont use it, and use "Jerry".

I feel your pain Vince!
People have always either spelled or gotten my name wrong alltogether.
The proper spelling is Darrel but people either spell it Darryl or Daryl or Darrell, there is even a woman at work, who`s husbands name is Dariel and some times she calls me Dariel. She even told me that once, while making love to her husband she called him Darrel and her husband was like.... Who`s Darrel? and she had to explain he`s a guy I work with! Sometimes there are people who see my name and pronounce it wrong!:D

My name rarely gets butured Easy..

Robert, Rob, Robbie (rarely used anymore), Never bob.

my last name gets messed up alot though.

sometimes people forget an H, and it starts with ash. sometimes they put a different letter in the ending...

Oh and i go by figment with any band member, cause i am quiet and pop out of nowhere in the band room. (No relation to the figment that poped up earlier during the first thread drift..)

Yes.

*writes my name on board for list* spelled Bryan.:fork:

That happens to me everyday!!!!! Even my best friend does it and I knew him since I was 8 days old (at my bris...  :hurl: :hurl: :brick: :brick:  ) Some girl was scribbling on my binder with permanent marker and spelled Bri so I stopped her and told her that it's Bryan. So she obviously doesn't care, doesn't scribble it out and justs goes lower on the binder and writes BRYAN. The she was mad at me
