It's not a franchise...It's not going to waste...it's CLOSED! It's A DONE DEAL!!!
If it wasn't a franchise then why are they basically creating an entire land for it in Hong Kong...it certainly is a franchise.
Beat me to the punch on this one Chaggy, but I shall build on from here. Since our Club is still sitting at the top of Hill St. vacant, it is very much giong to waste, due to the potential of profits and goodwill that shall come to the Disney Co. when they decide to reopen it. Yes it is closed, temporarily, but that doesn't mean it's a done deal. Disney still owns the story, the scripts, and the characters, all of which are still being used. Disney just now seems to be learning that guests want classic attractions and entertainment returned to Walt Disney World, i.e. Main Street Electrical Parade and Captain EO. Its just a matter of time (hopefully sooner than later) till we will be raising our Colonel glasses high for another Kungaloosh!
Some days you eat the mouse.
Some days the mouse eats you.
But never give into the mouse without a fight!
