Saturday Night Live Attraction?

I recently heard a rumor about an attraction based on Saturday Night Live coming to USF in 2010/2011. Being an SNL fan, I'm excited, but I don't want to get my hopes up if it's not actually happening. I figured that I should come here, because someone here probably knows more than I do. If anyone has information about whether the rumor is true or not, I'd greatly appreciate some info.

Lets just hope that if there is, that it is not based on the drivel they have now on SNL.

That would actually be cool! It's hard to imagine it as a "ride" type of attraction. But more of a "museum/exhibit" kind of thing, sort of like the "I Love Lucy" exhibit they have now. Still, I think it would be really cool.

I've always thought this would be a great attraction add, especially with the fact that Universal's now with NBC... the attraction could go into the currently unused Stage 40 (is it Stage 40? The empty soundstage between Shrek and Mummy). The attraction could be a simple "here's how we get this done" and allow for some hilarious audience participation by allowing them to film their own skits.

Exactly what i was thinking! I can't picture it as a ride!

I would assume that it would be something like Superstar Television and American Idol. I'd love to see something like this, especially if there was a "Weekend Update" segment. :D

The rumor that I heard said that it would go into either 1 of 2 places: replacing Lucy: A Tribute or into the old Murder She Wrote/Hercules-Xena building. I'm hoping it's the latter, because I like the Lucy exhibit, it would replace an unused building, and there's more room to play around with the attraction. Personally, I'd like to see them do something to the effect of the old Murder She Wrote show, but showing what happens on SNL each day of the week, from Sunday/Monday to Saturday.

Why not replace Fear Factor with SNL? Just make it a comedy show and change the set into the SNL stage? You could use the giant LED screen as the "what is being broadcast" screen, and have the show being shot in front of you so you can experience what it's like to see SNL being shot live. They could also have a skit that is improv and use guest interaction for that where the audience suggests ideas, and have it so guests play roles in skits. It'd be interesting to watch a skit go on and see how quickly the cast/set changes.

Whatever they do, they need to get rid of Fear Factor.

To go into the old Murder She Wrote/Hercules-Xena Sound stage would be perfect. Each stage/room could be a different sketch. Like one room be weekend update, one room be celebrity jeopardy, the room with the blue screen could be the digital short room. If one gets too stale switch it out with something new. Though I have always hoped a Monk/Psych attraction could step in and that story line could follow closely to what MSW was all about. Funny crime solving from Adrian and Sean. Would be great.

Hmm yes, as some others mentions, this would work well as a show, but I still don't know how they'd do it. Improv? Sketches?

I am also an SNL fan so this would be cool to see!
