I think it was the Laff-a-lympics

Great show!

ANOTHER good one for sure! Really surprised that Scooby Doo has only been mentioned by a couple of people. It seemed like it was on forever! My son (who is 14 right now) LOVED the original Scooby Doo episodes when he was a child. It was definitely one of my favourite cartoons growing up and I was happy to see that old Scoob stood the test of time and won over my son as well. Roooooooby Roooooooooo!!!!! :ROFLOL:

I remember Great Space Coaster. I watched that on USA network every morning before school for ages.

As for not mentioning Scooby-Doo, it was more that since it had already been mentioned, I didn't want to just repeat what someone else had brought up. But yeah, I watched a lot of Scooby-Doo as a kid. I also remember a show that lasted 1 season on Saturday mornings called "The 13 Ghosts of Scooby-Doo."

Forgot all about that one until reading your post. Yeah, they kinda started going overboard with the Scooby Doo spin-offs there later on and they were never the same. Hard to touch the original Scooby episodes from when we were kids though. ;)

What was up with Scrappy-Doo and why did they think the original cast needed extra help from the Harlem Globetrotters? :brick:

I used to watch Scooby Doo, but also its copycat:

And the shorts between episodes:

But the absolute king of all Saturday morning cartoons was, of course:

Well, apparently I'm way older than the rest of you. Anyone seen these?

Huckleberry Hound

The Archies

The Groovy Ghoulies (with the great song Chik-a-boom)

Top Cat (a favorite)

Josie and the Pussycats

and the greatest of all - The Beatles
yes there was a cartoon show featuring the fab four

Now Saturday mornings consist of infomercials. What a shame.

Don't recall if this one ever ran on Saturday morning or not, but I remember watching it before school everyday as a kid growing up in the 80's and it just popped into my head.

That is so weird...I have no memory of that show, but when I clicked the link I recognized the song and even remembered most of the words to it...so I must have watched it!

The Littles was probably my all time favorite Saturday morning cartoon. I also liked the Smurfs and Galaxy High School.
