Safety at Disney

Thanks everyone for your replies. My main goal was just for people to realize that you always need to be aware, even in Disney. I'll definitely look into some self defense classes too :)

I've made that walk and there were always a lot of people doing the same. Its a straight run from the TTC up the walk to the rooms.

I have never not felt safe in the parks or around the hotels, DTD well that is another story.

That's good to know. I had read that the paths at the Poly at night can be quite dark.

Common sense is the key to safety, at Disney or anywhere else. At night, stay with other people, follow well-lit pathways, and park in well-lit areas. Keep a sharp eye on your car keys, room key and wallet.

That said, however, I have been to WDW many, many times by myself, and I have NEVER felt threatened or unsafe.
