I was there on thursday and same story line.. no change.

the new changes are due to take place sometime in april...closer to the end of april/beginning of may. The biggest change will be that little red will not seen in the truck at the end and something with the poachers....other than that its just little changes here and there within the script!

The only changes I have heard will happen is they are going to pretty much ditch the whole poachers part of the story. That does make a lot of sense since to me it kinda disrupted the attraction. Kinda like in the movie Happy Feet when they shoved the whole "Global Warming/Humans are distroying our world" thing.

Yes lets not spoil the attraction buy letting real world horrors get trivialised, poaching is amajor issue and its not just animals that are killed besides most people couldnt care less anyway.

I will believe the change is happeneing when it happens and I am sitting there and not hear anything from the Ranger.
I like the story, it does not disrupt the attraction. It gives the attraction a reason for being there!

OK this happened for a whole whopping month? They pulled that out so fast, that other then a few stories from back then, there is nothing to prove it even happened. I know it happened cause I have talked to people who have seen it, but in a few years we will be lucky if people believe it at all.
I was kidding in my post BTW I think the story is what makes the attraction.

I didn't know Big Red used to die in the story...good move cutting that. It's a bit much for a Disney ride (however realistic, it would put a downer on guests' day).

I saw Big Red dead on opening day... It basically killed all happiness for the finale of the ride...
