I am Scott, from north Alabama and am a minister of music in a Southern Baptist church. We have lived here for over 12 years. My wife and I have been married for 20 years in May 2003 (trip to the Grand Canyon for the two of us to celebrate!) and we have two children. I enjoy all sports, but am really into baseball, football, and golf. Hobbies include baseball card collecting. I grew up in the Tampa Bay area and went WDW numerous times when it was just MK. Started going again once our kids were old enough to enjoy and remember the parks. Thanks for all who contribute to this site--my #1 Disney site!

P.S. My daughter made my new avatar.

Whoa Scott, you're a minister of Music!?!? That's what I was going to study becoming before various... um... "things" kept me from being able to go to college. Actually I was going to specialize in Praise and Worship. Now that I am joining the Army though my degree oppurtunities are kinda limited so I my first degree will be Graphic Design, and then I may study religion and music after that.

This is so cool...

Yep, and I love my job! Have you thought about looking into something that you could do part-time in music?

Yeah, kinda...but considering for five years I'm going to be working for Uncle Sam as well studying for when I get out options aren't exactly prospering so to speak. I am going to try and get an Army Barbershop quartet together after BCT, so we'll see what happens with that.

We had left WDW last week and stopped at a Steak and Shake for lunch and she was doodling on her placemat and I asked her if she could draw me the EPCOT ball. So, she starts it right off and does a great job. Then she told us that she very seriously studied the design of the ball while we were there. So last night I asked her to draw the ball on MS Paint so I could use it as a wallpaper and that is what she came up with. I'm lucky to be able to draw stick people.

Guys, have you read Steve's explanations about Ryan's closure and also some points about the Chit Chat section? Apparently, Ryan was doing too much on the forum's "inner workings" so to speak, and the "real-time posting" that we're used to will have to diminish, if not cease to be. So I guess we should take this Ohana space and figure out an alternative for this. I already posted a message asking Steve if it'd be too much to have a Chat room. If he says it is, what do you guys think would be a solution? I know many of you use AIM, but I don't have, I only have ICQ, and I think there's probably a better alternative than everybody downloading new softwares... Anybody knows one of those chat webpages where we could create a WDW Magic Ryan room?

I'm Katie. I'm a freshman at Michigan State University majoring in Music Education. I have one younger brother who is a sophmore in high school and have been dating my boyfriend Ryan (you might have seen him post on here as TestTrack) for a year now. I like reading, anything that has to do with history or music, and watching the Detroit Red Wings play hockey. At school, I am a Sparty escort which means that I escort our school's mascot to different events such as hockey/volleyball/football/basketball games, weddings, and private parties and make sure he doesn't get into too much trouble.

For those of you who don't know who Sparty is, here he is:

I'm not sure about a solution for the real time posting that is going on, but I think the Ohana thread should continue in the introductory path that it is going. I am really enjoying reading about people... very insightful. I like the idea of a chat room, but like you said that all depends on Steve's say.

I'm Kara, I'm 19 and a sophomore nursing student at UMass Dartmouth. I really love Aerosmith, and I listen to almost any kind of music (mostly rock, though). I love to play basketball, I played for 6 years, but I'm not really playing for a team anymore, the schoolwork plus my job would be too much. Well, that's a little info on me

Well, Fievel gave me a suggestion, which was something that I was kinda thinking about at the same time. So I wanna pitch this idea to you guys and see what you think.

We can use Ohana for this introductions and for he kind of small talk that we used to do in Ryan but, more importantly, as a meeting point to a WDW Magic chatroom that we can create at Yahoo Chat. The room is not permanent; someone has to create it and there's got to be people in there for it to exist. If everybody leaves it's automatically deleted. So basically the first one to log in can create the room, come to Ohana to let people know the room is there for the day (giving day and time, for instance) and we all go. And in those cases when we never seem to be on at the same time, well Ohana will be here for the posts.

So what do you think?
