I'm tempted by the Wine & Dine virtual 5k for the Alice medal but aren't the lower end race medals usually rubber rather than metal? I don't want to waste the $$ for a rubber medal.

Or was it the kids' races that had those rubber medals?

All medals are now medal. Rubber medals have been out for a while now, I have done many virtual runs and still recommend them if you feel comfortable with the price.

I myself am running this whole weekend virtually.

I didn’t even know club runDisney was going live (for early registration) starting next week. I may join since I am doing Dopey.

Registration for the Summer races, not for Club runDisney membership. Unless you're a renewing member, registration for the Club won't open until May 23rd.

If you want early registration, you'll need to be either Gold or Platinum. It's not cheap.

Not any more, they are now metal.

I think 2016 was the last year of rubber medals for the 5K.

Would be nice if runDisney updated their website - the 2023 race isn't even listed. General registration opens in less than 2 weeks and Club runDisney early registration begins next Tuesday...if the April 25th date is accurate.

How quickly do the virtual races sell out? It may be another week or two before I can commit to it financially. (I'm only looking at the 5k.)

You definitely have some time for them to sell out (this can fluctuate based on the theme’s popularity though).

I hate this set of themes. I was hoping it would be something I wasn’t interested in and skip the summer series after all the $$$ I’ve spent on runDisney lately, but now it looks like they’ll get that cash after all!

They probably wont ship outside USA/Canada again, so it's a no for me. Too much trouble and money for a 5K medal alone or a serie thats too similar

Usually it’s a medal replica pin of the challenge.
