The question will be, how long will it take for runDisney to make the decision to cancel?

Having been involved just on the periphery of this at work, I’ve come to understand that it isn’t the decision itself that takes the time but getting everything lined up for the implementation process. There have been some decisions in my office that I have known about sometimes a few days before they have been made official because the implementation plan had to be fully in place at the time of announcement to avoid confusion and chaos which would add work (for example unnecessary queries on the « how to ») at a time when this extra work adds to already over-stressed systems.

Looking more & more like we won't be running next month. Funny they are not closing the resorts at Disneyland, Hilton Head or Aulani.

The Disneyland hotels were already scheduled to close today. I think it was a few days after the parks to allow guests to make travel arrangements in a timely manner. They announced it at the same time as the theme parks.

I missed the DLR resorts closing in the initial announcement. I figured Disney kept the resorts open so guests could have gone to make arrangements to return home.

Things are changing so quickly, it’s hard to keep track! It seems like I take a break from social media and the news for 30 minutes, and there are all kinds of new reports and announcements. 😕

Governor de Santis orders all bars and clubs closed for the next 30 days and restaurants to cut their capacity in half. Looking more and more like WDW won't reopen at the end of the month and the race weekend will probably be cancelled.

Yep. This is not happening. I’m totally bummed but least hope they’ll let us get our stuff via a virtual race. I really don’t want to have to wait a year.

I'm going full positive. Runners-only weekend. :D

On an interesting personal note, my wife said if they do reschedule it, I may have to go by myself. Never done a solo trip before. Always wanted to do one. I'll feel bad for not bringing my kid, but at the same time...............It would be pretty awesome.

We try to arrange meet ups for those of us going solo. As long as everyone keeps 6 feet apart...

They're really fooling themselves if they think this run is going to happen.

They just don’t want to announce it now and overwhelm the operators at Disney. They’re trying to flatten their own curve.
That's my guess also. They are probably ironing out their plans for refunding and/or rescheduling, etc. and making sure the cast members that will be taking the calls know how to respond.

Let's hope we hear yay or nay by next week. The digital guide usually comes out around now.
