You sure you can’t just run/register for the virtual half?
I could of sworn I saw it.
EDIT: Do you mean separate registration time? If so, then I agree it is at the same time aa the other races.
EDIT 2: Their are multiple YT videos that show the site as it was.
If you look at the site to register for the 2021 races, there is no separate registration for the Virtual Half. There wasn't for the cancelled 2020 registrations. I've looked at my emails.

I think, I’m just confused by how I interpreted what you typed. The “virtual” tab is what I used to see the event listing. I think I understand what you mean though. Their isn’t a separate listing for the race under the actual race listing but rather under the “virtual” tab.

IIRC, the Star Wars half has been the first and only regular virtual half marathon.

I see the confusion. In the past, the SW Virtual Half wasn't listed under the Virtual races menu. It was included with the on-property races. Frankly, it should be moved back with the rest of the races.

Gotcha, I thought that was what you meant. Maybe they are trying to build out the “virtual” brand.
That link now shows the 2021 races. In the past - 2018 and 2019 - it was included with the rest of the on-property SW races.
The Virtual menu used to show just the summer 5K series.
Put the damn Virtual with the rest of the races of the same theme.

So...that Death Star theme seems super promising for medal design.
But that particular Virtual is tied to other on-property races. And it was sold in 2018 as a continuation of the cancelled Anaheim races to appease those who were planning on ruining the Kessel in 2018 as runners had already registered for the 2018 Dark Side at WDW when the announcement about the Anaheim races was released. I was one of them.
For the Virtual race medal? I need to tell my SIL....

Yep, it looks like a Death Star medal judging by the art...unless it’s a TIE which doesn’t look likely. They have done that in the past.

Singular theme for virtual, not for in person.
Yes. But make sure to select the correct Kessel....the $409 one. Confusing as both have the same name.
