Heading for the great escape.

I think that Men in Black is not as good as Buzz Lightyear. I don't know why. I went on Buzz first and MIB just seems to lack the immersion that Buzz offered. Even if that immersion consists of flats and glow-in-the-dark paint.

I know this is a Disney fan site, but that has to be the most biased post ever.
Chipboard targets v animated characters, tacky Q line v movie themed line.

Both rides are fun, and therefore fulfil their purpose, but cam’on lets not be shy to admit when other parks do a good job. It does help keep Disney on their toes

I disagree with you. I share similar feeling with Pongo. MIB is themed alot better, especially in the preshow and queue, and it is definately a better ride. But I still ENJOY Buzz more.

The best way I can describe this would be to compare my two favorite video games: Grand Theft Auto Vice City and Grand Theft Auto San Andreas. San Andreas is technically a better game in every respect. Better graphics, better missions, better storyline, better everything. But Vice City is still my favorite because the music, the chracters, and the atmosphere just hold a special place with me. So while the developers improved upon Vice City with San Andreas in almost every way, I still like Vice City more.

That might not make sense, but I tried  I think the problem with MIB is there is almost too much going on at once and you are moving so fast that it's hard to really take everything in. I like Buzz's slower pace with targets better. I think the next time I ride MIB, I'll just ride it without shooting and see if I can appreciate it more that way.

MIB just doesn't click with me yet. I didn't make my way to the back of the park on last year's trip, but I plan on seeing it again this trip. Maybe 5th time will be the charm :)

I see, thanks. I misunderstood a bit. I am always interested in trying to score more points than my husband while riding, so I guess I haven’t noticed the exposed ceilings and beams, but now then you mention it I seem to remember. I think you hit the nail on the head though that not everything can be an E-ticket and have E-ticket theming. Overall I think it’s a very enjoyable attraction.

sorry. Have been out of town this weekend. But, that was completely right. Buzz was an excellent concept just not fully realized IMHO. I think it is a lot of fun. It was just lacking in the details, especially in the queue. Being a D-ticket doesn't allow for skimping on quality I think. (on a note, it sounds like the AstroBlasters incarnation is a bit better)
