I have heard that Indy may be closing early-mid 2015. This is rumored to be in preparation for Star Wars land, and possibly an Indiana Jones ride similar to the attractions in DL and TDS too.

That could be a lot of fun. While I know the similarities in the design to Dino@AK, having something Indy going forward could be plain classic fun. Though that makes me wonder if Star Wars land is more Lucas-land.

Yes - Lucasland would fit better. Then there could be Star Wars and Indy. I can see that happening! That would also give DHS a bit more structure - Pixarland on one side, and Lucasland on the other.

I wouldn't have a problem with that, but I am skeptical that DHS will see an expanded Indy presence.
Yes - I am skeptical about all DHS expansions until they release details. But, should the area be called LucasLand, surely this would involve Star Wars and Indy - otherwise they would just call it Star Wars land?

Which is why the rumor of LMA closing in January surprises me, especially if Indy really is on the chopping block. They'd be losing two pretty big people eaters. I have a feeling, though, that Indy will stick around longer than LMA.

Personally, I think closing Indy makes more sense than LMA (in the short term) because Indy is in a prime location that will be needed for a legit Star Wars expansion. Meanwhile, LMA is in a corner of the park and can be kept open while the former Backlot Tour footprint -- which is huge -- can be used for a "Pixar Phase 1" keeping LMA open to at least have something to do in the park. Once some Pixar stuff is (hopefully) opened relatively quickly, then you close LMA and use that space for additional Pixar stuff.

Not a question that really needs to be answered since we don't know what the land is going to be called, or if it even will be a cohesive land.

Yes, fair enough - I think it is now really a waiting game to see what is coming, and what it is going to be called. But, something big must be coming to DHS with all the attraction closures recently, and the land that is now available for development...
