Rumor Roundup: 2012

So here are the rumors from Blue Sky Disney's latest article concerning WDW:

Magic Kingdom:

• Fantasyland refurb with at least the The Little Mermaid ride by 2012 (My speculation: removal of the tents?)

Epcot:

• A new E-Ticket by 2012 (My speculation: Mt. Fuji?)
• Some other possible smaller rides
• A new Pavilion by 2012 (My speculation: Australia?)

Disney's Hollywood Studios:

• Studio Tram Tour removal in 2010
• Pixar Place expansion into tram tour land with the Monster's Inc. ride by 2012
• Star Tours Update: earliest being 2010, latest being 2012
• Great Movie Ride update by 2012
• New E-ticket based on a big film by 2012 rivaling Harry Potter (My speculation: Could be based on Cars, Narnia, The Bow and the Bear, newt, Rapunzel, or The Princess and the Frog)
• Hat moving to another location in DHS by 2012 (My speculation: Fantasmic!? Animation Backlot?)

Disney's Animal Kingdom:

• Some attraction (ride/show/thingy) in Pocahantas' theatre space with amazing theming by 2012 (My speculation: How much room do they have there?)
• The Lion King moving to Africa by 2012
• New E-ticket by 2012
• New land between Asia and Africa by 2012 (My speculation: Linked to the new ride? Beastly Kingdom?)

Remember, THESE ARE JUST RUMORS!!!

Hmmm....it's interesting how so many of the dates are 2012. Why wouldn't they spread out the expense more?

If WDW was going to put on a big hoopla for MK's 40th, wouldn't it be nice for some of the new attractions to open in 2011? I suppose leaving it for a year gives folks an excuse to come back. :shrug:

I agree with the items on the list but not the timeline. Not that I'm in upper management or anything but I would hope and expect several major projects to be complete in time for the 40th Anniversary...not a year or 2 after it. With the timeline you present they might as well just blow off the 40th like they did with the 30th and 35th.

In which case there is another item to add to the list of reasons why the president and managing members of the WDW Resort should be kicked out of their offices.

i highly doubt there will ever be a new pavilion added to world showcase unless another nation comes out.
What they should do instead, is update some of those outdated movies (canada!) Or how about a riverboat ride through the venetian canal so there's actually something to do in Italy besides eat?
