I highly doubt they will invest in a re-theme with a young artist with an uncertain long-term future. A Carly Ray Jepsen coaster (or even Britany Spears, One Direction) would appear pretty laughable now. I am not saying this is Olivia's future, but the risk is too great. A young teen pop act is enormous in their demo, but DOA for the 30+ crowd - so you may not be adding much of an overall draw.

Also - the sad story of MGM/HS is the stripping away of Eisner's vision of a cohesive theme, making the thematic feel of your MK days indistinguishable from HS (they see no issue putting Galaxy Edge in DL and HS, etc). At least Aerosmith on the Sunset Strip is authentic to Hollywood and the past music scene. A random pop musical act will further water down what's left of the theme.

Jokes aside, if you've been tracking the revenue generated by the Eras Tour (and upcoming film), Rock n Rollercoaster staring Taylor Swift would probably be more popular than a Marvel coaster easily.

And with Taylor's increasingly warm relationship with Disney (GMA announcements, Disney+ exclusive documentary, etc), perhaps it's a long shot possibility?

How many songs are in the ride loop itself? 3? 4? What about a consolidated project using multiple artists? I definitely could see Sammy Hagar (that's like so obvious) and BTO (Roll on Down). These songs FIT. There are a couple others but I'm not sure how many are needed to get from start to stop.

Honestly, the safest thing for Disney to do is to retheme it to a Muppets-themed Electric Mayhem ride. Anything else involves the gamble that comes from having a real person (what if that person's star fades? What if that person does something offensive --or worse? etc.).
