If I was to guess, and its just a guess, PtN returns in April ahead of the 70th, with the rest of the 70th debuting in May the week before Memorial Day weekend.

They’re likely teasing early as auditions are going up soon. Keep an eye on the auditions page all!

They also started casting for Starlight in MK too and that's not coming till summer so I'm not sure if that really means anything although that's a whole new parade so it's probably different.

I’m just going on the holiday parades, they audition for Halloween in May, etc.

Just noticed they are holding parade auditions next week actually, it's up right now. Maybe for Magic Happens return though, or people to add in for Christmas?

the cynic in me wonders if we would have this same reaction if in 2015 disney announced that they were celebrating the park's 60th anniversary with the return of walt disney's parade of dreams. doesn't this feel weird?

I think they know they didn't run Paint the Night really that long at all, not long enough to justify the cost of the parade. It's a hugely impressive parade, and was seemingly gone in the blink of an eye.

Yes, it was originally made for Hong Kong and a clone was made for Disneyland resort. The Hong Kong version of the parade has yet to return post covid either.

They built two at the same time, one for Hong Kong, one for Disneyland. Disneyland got lucky though and received the extra float section (Frozen, then Incredibles), and the old World of Color pre-show puppets.

DLR got the Drum Float as well.

I think it's rumored that PTN returns to HKDL in
2025? There's also a rumor of a new Parade for HKDL so who knows?
