DLR got the Drum Float as well.

I think it's rumored that PTN returns to HKDL in
2025? There's also a rumor of a new Parade for HKDL so who knows?
Yes, I think there is rumors that it will return to Hong Kong next year along with a new parade. One of the composers for the new parade leaked it by saying that he was a composer for a 20th anniversary parade for Hong Kong when it had not been announced yet around a year ago. So as far as we know there is a new parade coming and hopefully paint the night will come back to Hong Kong as well.

I’m glad they re bringing this parade back for the 70th. I wasn’t a huge fan when it first ran almost 10 years ago. I thought the soundtrack was just too pop-y and modern for Main Street Disneyland. I also felt that it could use some smaller floats that zig zag around the street like the lightning bugs etc in MSEP. The parade felt more at home at DCA for me. With that said, it’s still a great night parade and now 10 years later I may even have built up a little nostalgia for it. We’ll see next year I guess. I’ve also come around to more modern soundtracks for Disneyland Parades. I really enjoy the Magic Happens soundtrack. Particularly the second half.

I hope WDWs Starlight will have the same high popularity as Paint The Night. It is exciting 2025 will the year of night parades, for both coasts and also Hong Kong.

Every time PTN comes back, I want them to add a new float so the balance isn't so Pixar-heavy (+ so it can start to rival MSEP in length). If only Wish did well in the box office, I'd have loved a Rosas float with Star.

Well they at least have to change the finale song for it, so maybe we get something similar to what was done for MSEP a few years back.

And the opening narration.
I hope they don't change it, I'm not entirely convinced they will anyway, it's not like they changed the lyrics to "This is Halloween" in Halloween Screams or NSSS and it's not nearly has controversial as Zip with SOTS (which shouldn't be removed either IMO).

I agree. I think it's a good time to bring back ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls kind of announcement. Because it's not controversial as Zip A Dee Do Dah.

I hope so to. Changing it to “To All Who Come To This Happy Place” or “Good Evening And Welcome One And All” will not sound right for PTN.

Yeah I agree, I think it worked well enough for MSEP even if it was a little wonky but I don't think anything would work for PTN. And I think they've moved past trying to erase "Ladies and Gentlemen Boys and girls". I could be wrong but I think there are a couple of announcement that still have it. Maybe not anything new but things that are still there that haven't been changed, I think.

Finally some good news for Disneyland!

Paint The Night was absolutely fabulous, and never should have been mothballed for almost a decade like it has been. But better late than never!

Disney used to re-release all their big animated movies in theaters every 7 years, because a new crop of American children had been born in that time and were ready to see those movies for the first time. Paint The Night is the same way, except it will have been over 8 years since it was last seen. It will be a brand new thing for many folks!

Based on the rumors I've heard about the costumes making the performers uncomfortable, I wouldn't be surprised if Disney Costume Department tweaked the costumes for the upcoming return of PTN.
