Don't worry, i'm done with this thread, I don't need to be getting so worked up about something so juvenile.
Sew in2 Disney, it was a JOKE! DAN(Bamboo7 ) is my friend. If you can`t take a joke, you should not be on these boards, lighten up. I don`t condone violence of any sort.
P.S. I have never encountered a rude CM in all my Disney vacations, I did encounter an obnoxious cm, but not rude.

But it was a special event where Costumes ARE allowed, there was no reason for this CM`s rudeness. So if it was a friend of yours, give the person a slap upside the head for me!

no darrel, the costumes were permitted that day in MK, so the cast member still did what was correct by not allowing them to go into EC like that.

She probally could have been nicer about it.

However, people need to keep going when there is a gap in a line, getting seats in a theater, crossings during a parade, etc.

I hear CM say things like "keep it movin' people" all the time. I even said a few things like that when I was a CP. Back during Tapestry, there was a crosswalk down at Morrocco to get from one side of the WS to the other. People would stop to take pictures, point things out to kids in strollers, etc. that would clog the path and keep people from getting where they wanted to go.

I know I get tired of crossing over people in theaters that don't bother going more than 20 seats across.

I know I haven't been to WDW as much as many of the posters on this site, so maybe the odds haven't caught up to me yet, but...

I (nor my family) have never had an rude experience with a CM. Just hasn't happened. I've seen some rude guests (not interact with me, but with other guests). Maybe it's because I've had to deal with the public for so long, I just try to be polite and friendly to CM's, and no one has let me down yet.

Maybe the odds will catch up to me someday when I visit, and when it does...oh well, even CMs are human.

I have run into these RUDE castmembers when i go sometimes.. Most of the time its teenagers and its a night around the time the park closes. The worst castmember i have met was at Disney Quest, he gave me a look and commented that i should be riding with another person on the Space Mountain:Make your own coaster ride. Has anyone else dealt with a rude castmember? I heard they can get fired for being rude.

Out of the DOZENS of times I've been to Disney World, I've ran into a handful of rude castmembers, but you know what, I let their rudeness roll off my shoulders. They're probably trained to deal with stress and such so that it doesn't show, but they are human and I'm sure they work long and hard hours. I used to work in the hospitality field and after being in the public eye for hours on end... it does tend to eat away at you bit by bit.

If a CM is rude, let it slide. If it bothers you that much, talk to management.

The reason that it was taking sooo long was that there was one CM loading ppl and she was taking about 15 ppl from the fast pass line to every 2 ppl from our line... so about 10 ppl to every 75... Not a very good split if you ask me....

---- Yeah, I personally don't like FAST PASS at all. I think they should get rid of it. I waited in line for SOARIN' for 1.5 hours; the line literally crawled. But people with FAST PASS were "flying" by non-stop. What a joke.

I know I could have gotten fast pass and come back, but I don't want to have to watch the clock while I'm on vacation.

That excuse didn't work too well for you did it?

I have never had a bad experience with any CM. I take my hat off to them as sometimes they seem to have quite a rough time especially in the service of food which is high pressure, fast throughput.

Well done to the Disney staff who maintain this incredible level of service. Your guests well and truly appreciate the effort even if we might seem as though we take you for granted. :sohappy:

My worst experience has happened twice with the same CM at Expedition Everest. My friend and I WAITED for the front row, and once we went up to get in its line, this same rude woman came and told us to move back; The "assigner" told her we weren't supposed to be in that line. She was extremely rude about it, so I sent an email complaining since it happened twice! I doubt I'll get much of a response.

I don't know if I'd call this "rude", necessarily. But...

Last week, I was buying my one day-one park ticket at the DHS gate from an elderly woman working the booth, and she did the usual inquiries about where I was from and whatnot. Then she asked if I had already been to the parks that week or if this was my first day. I told her I had already visited a park earlier that week (it was a busy week and I wasn't sure how often I was going to be able to visit the parks, so I played it safe and just stuck to the one-day tickets). Her response was less than pleasant.

Now, I understand it's the job of these ticket-sellers to inform us of the benefits of buying multi-day tickets and how I would end up wasting money by just buying one-day tickets, but the way this woman acted, you would have thought I was a first-grader who failed to turn in my homework for the fifth day in a row. She made me feel really stupid. I really think she could have handled it better.
