Westlife have the same record company and i believe Simon Fuller has a finger in both pies.

Dunno what song it is, but you can bet your life that westlife didn't write it.

Eh...he'll fade into the rest of the pop crap where nobody will give 2 cents about him.

I've pretty much lost respect for that whole show....I'll admit that they have great voices, but they end up singing substandard music that even 2 bit hacks like christina, britney and the like could even sing.

Waste of potential....

If it's fixed, then they are stupid. What better way to see who will make the most money than having the fans select their star?

We were over in Tampa and we decided to call in and vote Clay (I think). When we got in, we actually (by accident) got into the operators. After telling them our situation, they replied by saying, "Why vote? You know it is fixed."

What can I expect? The media company today is very untrustworthy. :(

Eh, I've learned not to trust operators. I'm not saying operators are bad- Like any other job, you get all kinds of people, often bored ones.

It's not that I believe everything in the media, but fixing the vote makes absolutely no sense assuming the entire American Idol contest is set up to make money for the producers.

Of course it is possible that it IS fixed- I just think that would be a dumb move.

I don't know about being fixed, but the results ARE skewed, since they only reflect the opinions of people motivated enough to actually watch the show and then call in and vote.

Indifferent people deserve to have their voices heard, too....but whatever, I guess.

This operator is probably in some hired call center in Omaha that has about as much inside info on the inner workings of the show as we have on the inner workings of Eisners mind.
