Rose & Crown Rehab

Ok...if this has been posted before, my apologies but I did a search and didn't see it.

My wife and i just returned from a little spontaneous day trip yesterday (wow...i love living so close!). While we were at epcot we stopped into the rose and crown for a refreshing beverage. One of the barmaids there told me that the Rose and Crown would be closing in two weeks for a two month rehab. She said it would be "bigger and better" upon reopening.

she also said that there would be a tent outside which would still serve beers and wines.

anybody know anything about this? what are the plans?

anyways, thought you all would want to know.

2 month rehab would put it opening by..... mid June? Is that right?

Well at a guess it wont improve the choice of nats ______, sorry beer.
Hey - each to their own - if everybody drank and enjoyed the same stuff then there would be no reason to make new brews. I don't ever recall knocking your favourite tipple - leave mine alone. :animwink:

We have PS for the Rose and Crown for April 25th and when we made them they said nothing about rehabing it I think I am going to have to call and find out if they really are

If they want to give it a true English theme, organise a cricket match to be going on outside the tent. Then you would have a true Beer Tent.

well, wouldn't two weeks just about cover that? I'm guessing they wouldn't close on a weekend? so you might have the last PS before the rehab?

if you do call, can you let us know what "they" say? I'd be interested to hear.
we're probably going back next weekend too, so i'll see if i can ask another CM if they know anything more.

Soo glad I'm tee total.

Looking on the bright side of it being too expensive to get ratted when at Disney:

At least you don’t have to face the morning after without a bottle of Irn Bru.

Wouldnt that be a treat at Ice Station Cool, the would probaly have to change its label from "fruit flavoured soft drink" to "addative filled hangover cure". Wonder if Walmart will carry it its only 59p in Asda for 2 litres, no wonder im buzzing.

A rehab sounds good,I hope they improve the beer garden too, as long as its ready for July when I'm there, we always watch Illuminations from the beer garden!

The rose and crown is going down for rehab on the 18th of April for two months. This is expected to take 3 months however opening just b4 July 4th. The whole thing is being ripped out and started again so its gonna be a big job. They are operating an outdoor bar during this period with a much more limited drinks range. :p

Yesterday I called Disney and they called over to the Rose and Crown pub and they said there were no plans to rehab in the near future

I could make Priority Seatings for most of May and June.
