Rose and Crown is a great place, excellent food without a doubt and afterwards or before make sure you take a trip into the bar to have a chat and listen to The Hat Lady, shes brilliant!!! :sohappy::sohappy::sohappy:

Hubby's Favorite Place
Rose & Crown is one of me and my husbands favorite places! GREAT fish and chips and the Guinness on tap is so good! It's a great place to get away from the heat and have a beer halfway through your day! I have never had a bad experience here!
We also love to go for dinner around 8 and sit out on the patio and then watch the fireworks from our table! One of the best places to watch them from in my opinion! By the time they start you can have some coffee and dessert and a front row seat without anyone in your way!! :sohappy:

Love your opinion and your experiences, i agree totally!! The fish and chips is amazing at any time of the day!! Its as you also said, a great place to escape the heat and distance of the amazing world showcase!!! Im yet to get a table outside for illuninations unfortunately, but, it has never stopped me from making this one of my top stops along the World Showcase path :sohappy::sohappy::sohappy:

Ah yes, the wife and I had great seats outside in the "hidden area" a few Septembers ago. What a tremendous experience it was..... UNTIL..... the wind shifted.:brick: I can still remember, fish and chips, a tanker of ale and the inability to take a breath because of the intense blanket of pyro smoke. MMMMMM Hmmmm sweet memories

Gotta admit, thats always a big fear of mine when dining here late, but it cant be helped, and i guess its another reason to hope to be put at a table inside and then go out for the fireworks!
True, if your trip is short, i like to go for 2 weeks minimum so a nice relaxing day at the rose and crown is always a good way to escape the madness of the parks for a day :lol:
It is, great food, great drinks and great craic! A must do!! :sohappy:

How did anone find the rose and crown during the food and wine festival?? Busy? Or do the stalls take away from it??

The line for the outside dining was lengthy & the Pub itself was packed yesterday.
In other words, the F&WF are certainly not taking away the crowds. It actually increased the crowd capacity. :lookaroun
Haha i guess all those beer and wine stalls are just givin people a taste for it and after that the only place to go is the pub :lol::ROFLOL:
I had thought it wud take away from it as i was talkin to carl who works there the week before it and it had slackened off a bit but it must have come back with a bang fast!!
The bar area is always great fun, esp with The Hat Lady :sohappy::sohappy::sohappy:
