I havenpt finished reading all the thread, so excuse me if this has been explained before.
I worked in a travel agency a while ago, but here, most of the packages to Orlando, and other popular places are quoted in quadruple occupancy because it´s a family destination, and mainly because when you place your ad in the newspaper, the cheap price will call people´s attention more than if you divide the full cost of the room between only two persons and advertise it. People will look at other´s ads and think you are being the expensive company. Simple as that.
The price could sometimes been the same, but divided into more, seems to be less.
Like for instance, for Cancun, they advertise the all inclusive hotels in double occupancy and if I were going by myself, I would have to pay for two anyways, because that is the cost of the room.
I hope I made sense... I´m speaking of what happens where I live. :animwink:
