Room renovations at CSR

Room renovations will begin this year at CSR! Can't wait to see the new rooms!!

Didn't they just renovate the rooms not to long ago? I remember my last trip in 2012 and the rooms were like brand new. I wonder whats changing.

Last done in 2009/2010. Rooms are done every 5 yrs or so. Lots of chatter about rooms going to a walk in shower vs a tub. no confirmation on that though.

All I know is they will be starting in August. Timeframe should last through April/May 2015. The walk in option comes with a small inflatable tub for small children. I believe the walk in shower will be the new thing across WDW like the queen bed option happened at the mods after CSR got them in 2009.

Ask when you arrive. If he means the remodel will be completely done in April, there should be some rooms completed prior to that. They renovate the rooms in phases. So one group of rooms get redone, then they reopen them and close a different set of rooms to fix up those. So they may have finished something when you arrive.

Well that would be unfortunate. I love a good soak at the end of a day in the parks.

REHAB UPDATE

Beginning in August, Casitas 1, 2 and 3 will close to replace water heaters. The rehab of the rooms is coming. more info to follow.

UPDATE - The rehab will begin in January 2015. It will begin with the cabanas. It is a soft rehab; painting, carpets, new vanities. They want a lighter look.
