Room or Pool?

What is more important to you? We're still debating between Boardwalk and Beach Club. I want the Boardwalk for theme. I love it. Beach Club I'm not really interested in because we live in New England, and it's not a far stretch from home. We do want it for Stormalong Bay, however when it comes to the look of the rooms, I really dislike the look of the Beach Club's, while I very much like the look of the Boardwalk's.

So, not a Beach Club versus Boardwalk poll, but room versus pool. What is more important to you?

Room for me. I don't really care for pools or swimming. I stay at the BC every year, but I have never swam in stormalong bay.

What time of year? Winter or cooler months I go with room. Summer or warmer months when I'll want to cool off I'd go with pool. Gotta apply logic. Also, Yacht Club is an alternative to the Beach Club. :)

Summer.

We stayed at Yacht Club a few years ago and did not like it. Very bad service, unfriendly CM's.

Room always!
The pool is where I have a couple drinks, a snack, take a cold dip, and catch some sun while reading.
My room is where I relax, unwind from the crowds, have a meal, watch some T.V., read, and most importantly get ready and sleep.
If i don't get ample rest I become the biggest crab so nice bathrooms (I will shower twice a day) and beds are at the top of my list of most important things!

have you considered yacht club? we stayed at BC and Boardwalk first and have to say, after our summer stay at YC, we like that best. same pool as BC, and the lobby area and hotel in general is a lot less "busy" If you are sold on BC or BW, we liked BW better, though the pool is better at BC.

I picked room solely because that is where the bed is and that is all I care about in a disney resort. If I have a place to rest my head for 5-7 hours a night I couldnt care less about the rest because I don't go to Disney to sit in a hotel room, but tht is just me.

I voted for room because that would usually be the case, but I loved Stormalong Bay SO much... and I'm not a pool person at all usually. In this case, I think I'd pick BC again just for the pool.

I totally get what you mean about the Beach Club and being from New England, though. I felt the same way, I wasn't too impressed with the decor of the hotel. But SAB is hard to pass up.

I never really cared about the pool. I've been staying at the All Stars for a while and their pool is just the worst. It looks like I'll be able to afford staying at the moderates for the next time I decide to book a WDW trip so then I'll consider pools into my decision. And I'll be looking for a quiet pool that actually lives up to its name.

That said I think it depends on if you already have the water parks built into your itinerary. Stormalong Bay is great if you don't have time for BB or TL.

Also there is no giant clown face there.

Room, Room, Room. I like space and comfort when it is time to reload. The pool is the pool as far I'm concerned. The kids will have a slide at eithe BW or BC. I like both resorts but really wanted to get to BW this time around (November trip).

I'm sorry. :( We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at YC.

If its summer I would favor a better pool. We'd spend time there every day. It's important that you like your room, too, tho. What exactly is it you dislike about the Beach Club? Is it just the decor or is it something more?

Great question! I have to say room. Although the DH and I enjoy a nice pool day or two, the room is more important to us. Its a big part of our trip and planning! :)
