Its going to Broadway“Peter Pan Goes Wrong” is legitimately so good, though.

*Rodgers & HammersteinI had to Google what this was. I know I lose major gay points (and during Pride month no less) for having very little understanding of musical theater, but I had absolutely no idea what this thing was. I honestly assumed it was a riff on Rogers & Hammerstein (earning one gay point back with that reference)

It's a Marvel thing? Okay.
Is this supposed to be like previous Hyperion shows in that it's a full 45 to 55 minute long experience with a full cast and using all the bells and whistles the Hyperion facility can throw at it? Or is this more of a DHS schmaltzy theme park show type thing that is I8 minutes long and has a limited cast and could be shown in an outdoor amphitheater if needed?
I'm still kind of baffled by this concept. And the lack of buzz this close to opening at the Hyperion is... odd.
For a limited-time engagement beginning June 30, 2023, “Rogers: The Musical” will tell the tale of Steve Rogers (or as you may know him better, Captain America) in an all-new, one-act musical theater production. Performed in the famed Hyperion Theater, the show will feature five original songs, appearances by select members of the Avengers and more.
It's rumored to be about 30 minutes, and a temporary run. So definitely not Aladdin or Frozen.
It originated as a scene in the Hawkeye Disney+ show, and was intended as a loving parody of Broadway.
Extending a 4 minute song that was intended to be a one off joke in a TV show to a 30 minute stage production will be interesting, especially because Disneyland Entertainment has to come up with this stuff mostly from scratch.
I talked to some people who were heavily involved in the production of Frozen: Live at the Hyperion, and the consensus was that while they're glad the space will finally be used again, they wish it was for something with more substance.

The Disney Sea version has a real theater with indoor themed stairs. How hard can it be add add some walls and theme the inside?Remember when there were plans to make this a "real" theater that didn't involve waiting outside and climbing ugly exterior stairs to get inside?
