Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster to be Re-Themed?

The drop system. Is DHS system capable of doing what the other three towers do?
I've got to admit I'm stumped with this question. DHS' Tower was the first built... all of the others were built after it. They are all drop tower ride systems. DHS' is configured a bit differently than the others, but they all are essentially the same?

@marni1971. Any idea about the differences between the best tower and the three that came after?

We talking about all four towers?

Orlando and the other three are very different. They’re similar in appearance only.

Oh, you just want to know the differences? DHS has four shafts on one end of the building (Alpha, Bravo, Charlie, Delta) than then merge into the two drop shafts (Echo and Foxtrot). The other towers across the parks just have one shaft per vehicle and the cars do not leave the shafts except for load and unload.

EDIT: Martin, ignore me, just do your thing 😂

Orlando used smart AGVs that are trackless vehicles.

The other three have dumb VGs that are pushed and pulled forwards and backwards by rods.

Ok that’s what I thought but couldn’t remember. Any idea why they changed the setup. Cheaper or they thought it to be more efficient?

And then this goes back to the original question. Can DHS tot system bounce like Gotg does now between scenes?

Cheaper, and in theory more reliable.

I’ve not ridden the Guardians version yet but Orlando does travel up and down through the shaft. Is this what you mean?

Guardians moves up and down by a small amount while you watch a screen. So it bounces, not only large drops. He means can it move up and down in small amounts (like only a few inches) while staying in roughly the same position in the tower itself. I don’t see why it couldn’t.

No, GotG never stops moving from scene to scene.. it has a smooth bouncing effect as if it’s hovering when you between scenes. I think that’s the best way to describe it.

It’s very smooth when it does this.

Technically the Orlando ride system is accurate to an eighth of an inch. As to whether the drive motors can cope with it I don’t know.

Most likely only Foxtrot and Echo can do that. Alpha, Bravo, Charlie, and Delta have less powerful motors meant just to move between show scenes.

The old version of tower of terror at Disney's California adventure used to shake before the first drop and in between some of the middle drops. Haven't ridden gotg, so I can't reference if it carried over to the new overlay
