Is this the idea for Time Racers? lol. anyhow...it sounds interesting, to say the least, as long as it's not outdoors, and is inside with theming etc.

I think at a minimum, there are aspects of this technology which could prove useful in the next level of Disney themed attractions. For me, I see personalized experiences which still maintain large ride capacity. The ride could have a constant track but greatly varied view perspectives and experiences. That is what I think so many people enjoyed about Horizons. Although it was a limited choice only at the end, it was unique. It was a start.

I think physical stops and limits to the motion would be essential for safety reasons on an attraction with a high capacity.

I wish I could post it guys, really I do. I like my job and need to keep it though.

I'll say this much. Those of you who work at Disney and have a network login/ID can find the video; just have to know where to look.

Nope, not gonna happen on Disney property. Uh-uh now way. Looks like an over the top cheesy ride for a small park, I don't even think its right for IOA. Maybe Celebration City in Branson, Mo. :hammer:

We probably will see this technogy used in some aspect in an attraction in the not to distant future.

Disney is known for using new technology in innovative ways.

I heard the main reason it was canceled was because the movie flopped at the box office, the other reason was because of the low capacity the attraction has. I've heard the capacity is lower than TT, every attraction in the park will have a 15 min wait while this attraction would have an hour and half wait. Until they figure a way to increase the capacity dramaticly, I don't see this coming to any park. The cars would have to run 10 seconds apart.

Well according to Robocoaster's official site. The attractions are planned on being used moving through a series of theatres where events and such would take place. Kinda like Spiderman. Also, the whole thing would be enclosed.

I think it has the potential to be a very awesome ride experience. It would be a dark ride and able to move in any direction along a track. I am anxious to be able to ride something like that. I am sure Disney would work on ways to make sure it is safe by not swing around at fast speeds and they will have to increase capacity. They could have multiple trains out at once like Space Mtn. I would think they would want at least 9-12 people per vehicle. This will be awesome if Disney finds a way to use this technology.

Geez I hope WDW doesn't get a robocoaster in the present form. With the recent incidents with M:S and ToT, can you imagine the "safety factor" associated with this thing?

No offense, but i highly doubt it would have major safety issues, there have been things LIKE this around for a long time. also, if people would obey the signs i doubt anything would ever happen.

i seriously doubt we would see this technology in that incarnation but i could definatly see them using parks of it for somthing that none of us could imagine
