RoboCoaster.. Comeing soon?

Theory

ok i've got it! the last part of The INcredables- there are 4 robocoasters in one giant room, one for Dash, Mr. Incredable, Mrs. Incredable, Violate, and The ice dude(cant think of his name right now but that doesn matter) so in the movie each person is doing sometihng the robocoaster has it own screen for each one which has an animated scean of what it would look like through the eyes of that super hero as if it were you. The robocoaster could move along a track that is like a halfpipe infront of the screen doing moves trying to get back that darn wrist band! now that's a coaster - not really more like a simulator- or they could always use it for a ride based on Monsters Inc.

I think if they ever installed this it would either go into epcot or MGM. In MGM they could make a movie ride out of it, i really do like the incredibles idea. In Epcot they could use it in any of the pavilons as a fun but informative ride.

So i like the idea but i would like it if it wasnt as fast and less inversions. More like spiderman but with maybe 2 inversions. Although would they try and hide the track? In that case no inversions would work.

I could see one that seats 12 for capacity sake.. But that isn't happening so disney wouldn't even attempt to you it.

Nope

Actually this was the original format of the Mission:Space concept. Look for OLD concept art its out there. Talks are indeed for a Incredibles ride and this is anything but lame! Tony Baxter has been working on the design and usage of this , It will be as big a leap when applied properly as the introduction of the omnimovers by WED was in the 60's.

Do not underestimate the application of this tech.

Disney will figure out how to get capacity up and it will be amazing no doubt.

Um.... the original design for the space pavilian was the Horizon's omnimover but designed where the riders chose where they face on the ride in almost full 360 degrees any direction.

But I am pretty sure the Incredibles ride is planned on using the robocoaster concept. It could all work very well.

At first I thought it looked kind of corny, but then I saw the one on a track:eek: . That could be an amazing ride. Just think of all the things Disney could do with that. I'm all for an Incredibles ride, that would be great for MGM. They really need another E-ticket ride over there to boost attendance, and give people some more things to do.You know, its a shame the Muppets Wizard of OZ was so bad, that could have been a great theme for a ride using that kind of techongly.

i know we have no even, semi-solid info that this being thought about for a new ride at disney... and it looks like if they are it will be quite a ways before they get the ride system down. but one thing people started to say in this thread made me hopeful, this will be a step up from spiderman an universal, i'm sick of people constantly saying that disney should get a ride like that. what disney should do, is what's mentioned here, make a ride system that is better, and beyond spiderman's.

that is all.

Wow, I'd love to own the patent on that gadget. It looks like Primeval Whirl with a few extra degrees of freedom.

The Incredibles is a good starting point, but one can envision myriad uses for the 'rails' version (e.g., in anything space-themed). It all comes down to story, theming, and environment, as usual. Technology is only a small part.

yeah this doesn't really seem worthy to called a disney attraction. of course there's come things at DCA that I don't really consider disney attractions either. It'll be interesting to see what new attractions will be installed.

now i don't think you can say that just yet. what the video showed is not a disney attraction, more like a ride you would find at the fair. alone, with nothing else but the thrill. now, use the coaster one, move it slower through scenes of [insert idea here] and alas, you have a disney ride!

What if I told you there is a video of an imaginer riding it, in the WDI shop. Would that make things a bit more credible?
