RnRC New Theme Discussion

I will have to look for those to compare. There are a few really cool effects on hyperspace mountain that would absolutely be amazing on RNRC.

I know. I am sooooo jealous of Hyperspace Mountain. It's amazing how just some projections and music can really transform a rather dated attraction into a real "WOW:.

When WDW finally replaces the tracks in SM, I certainly hope they use the opportunity in the new build to place lights, projectors, and surfaces all over the place to customize the ride for the seasons and the IP du jour... or even to give the ride several scenarios that change from hour to hour for re-rideability.

I'm pretty sure that they had the opportunity already when they did the last big Space Mountain redo, when DLR got theirs - but they decided not to spend the cash on it. I agree, I hope they do it next time.

RnRC may not be a Disney classic but it's a damn fun coaster and part of that is the Aerosmith connection. Slapping a cheap GOTG/Star Wars/insert other lame idea overlay on it (ala Mission: Cash Grab) would be a shame. Just say no to these overlays no one asked for and build new stuff.

Unfortunately, in Disney terms... People are voting to the lesser evil.
Losing TOT or Losing RnRC? Id vote for RnRC.

Have you ridden it? There are a few parts with more than projections. One part in particular was really surprising for me, I hadn't looked at spoilers because I knew I was going there.

I don't know if its just the effects but it felt so much faster than the wdw one.

True, but it's like voting for cancer in the foot or the arm and hoping it doesn't spread. There are better options that don't require butchering a popular attraction. Of course those cost time, money and creativity.

I don't think anything at or about an overly glorified, built up, swamp six flag run by the figurehead of a college kid in a rodent costume is in anyway a worthy comparison to cancer. Unless you want to talk about the cancer of a free market that allows the college kid in the rodent costume to make so little money that said college kid is constantly at risk for eviction.

Technically, the cancer is already around.
With Launch Bay already taking out animation courtyard and great movie ride being removed and a mickey ride in it, then you got frozen and Nemo in Epcot...

You really like that cancer analogy, don't you?

Makes me wonder if he's an avid browser of some of an image board of the likes of 4chan. (where the "this is cancer" and its variant are used widely)

As long as that "shout" eventually flutters past those big round mouse ears of Disney Corp. Hopefully they'll hear a strong request to see GotG take over Rockn' RollerCoaster, if it must so that the IP doesn't wind up in our ToT or as an attraction in MK, Epcot or DAK under poor IP placement. I say flood the media with this request so that Disney knows unequivocally that Guardians are welcome in HS but only as a new attraction OR again if it must, as an overhaul to RnRc.

It is a fun coaster but I don't think Aerosmith is essential to the experience. Personally, that component does nothing for me. This is one ride I would happy to see a new overlay on.

What coaster doesn't have any sort of reference, even if it's just the name of the coaster, that it will be fast?

Ride the Tortoise Quagmire!!
