Certainly, the Star Wars buildings (and their associated rock-work) will help buffer the outside world. There may also be more trees to be planted.

Side note: Assuming the before and after trees were the same size, moving them forward should actually block more of the objects in the distance. (Think about how you can block out the moon with your thumb.)

Look at grizzly peak in 2001 to now. These trees will grow in as well and that will help.

So, is it assumed that Mickey and Friends will be visible until the show building for Alcatraz is finished with rockwork? Or are they going to plant taller trees?

There is still a second layer of berm that needs to go in I believe. The Battle escape attraction has nearly reached its full size, but the outdoor queue portion will have another berm that actually runs along the edge of Star Wars land up until the show building. The concrete for which went in ages ago. That's why that one section of M&F is still quite visible.

So we should just wait 10 years or so for the trees to grow in for proper viewing.

Actually, in this case, I think they let the trees grow too high in DCA and really ruined the views and (here it comes!) "forced perspective" of the wolf. At DL, you would want that sort of tree growth in this area.

Here I drew a picture. The reason the one angle in front of Fantasmic of Mickey and Friends is sooooo visible is actually because the berm in question hasn't been planted yet.

I'm by no means saying things will be perfect from day one, but there is a very obvious planting gap that I strongly believe should come any day now.

Yup. A berm of the same size as the new railroad berm would probably not help much, but this is an ENORMOUS concrete wall. That's going to be quite a hill. Where are they going to get the dirt to make it?

I'm sorry, but it always looked like a wolf to me and I'll always call it the wolf. To complicate matters further, there is now a wolf hotel down the street.

Agreed. I actually thought it was a dog when I first saw it, maybe a Husky or a Malamute. It doesn't look like a bear.

Never heard the mountain shaped as a grizzly in the ride "grizzly river rapids" referred to as a wolf before.

It will be interesting to see how all this looks a decade down the road when the plants have had a chance to grow.

I thought this video was nice, but then again, I had it on mute. I tend to take that precaution when watching any chatty vlogger's videos. :D

I gotta say, those rocks look awesome. I'm hopeful for the rest of the Rivers of America.
