Ringing in the New Year with Magic Friends

I went to this little place today... kinda like a zoo/plant expo. It's one of the more famous local attractions. Took 35 some-odd pictures. Think I should make a new thread in the "Digital Photos" subforum as usual, or just keep it in this thread?

If you want to post all of them, maybe a thread in digital photos? Otherwise, post a few of them here.

Photo TR: Colasanti's

Yes, you may be asking yourself, "What is a Colasanti?" Well, it's about the only thing worth visiting in Essex County besides the winery and my house. (Hint, hint.) Basically a cross between a kiddie area, petting zoo and garden expo. Certainly an odd combination, I know, but bear with me. The whole thing is in a series of connected greenhouses, meaning my wearing of a t-shirt was TOTALLY justified. They have mini-golf too, but no pics from that. Had to stay on my game, after all.

Welcome to Hay Allergy Land!

Making it even warmer in here...

Now on to the zoo! I don't know what half of these reptiles are, but whatever.

IMG_1089.jpg

I believe that's a Nemo.

IMG_1097.jpg

Ah, yes... the infamous killer goats of Colasanti's have recently had spawn.

IMG_1099.jpg

Deceptively cute...

Yet all they want is to use you as an object for their sustenance.

Krystyna's family reunion seems to be going well...

IMG_1113.jpg

Though Anastasia seems a bit isolated...

IMG_1112.jpg

OMG! Krystyna's having twins next!

IMG_1115.jpg

Back outside, I came upon a big, light deer...

Just after this shot, I let my guard down and found my coat being nibbled on 'cause I was keeping the 25-cent food offering in my pocket.

IMG_1118.jpg

Alpaca?

IMG_1122.jpg

New coat? (Kidding.)

IMG_1127.jpg

Speaking of which, I had bacon and eggs this morning... well, this isn't bacon, but you know.

For all the Dark Knight fans.

These ducks have been tagged, so they may be released back into the wild at approximate retail value.

Found the bacon!

IMG_1150.jpg

For all the train fans. *raises hand*

IMG_1151.jpg

They turned Dumbo all yellow and even more colourful and somehow worse capacity.

IMG_1152.jpg

I don't like Wacky Worm 4.0. All the new screens do is take your attention away from all the drab plant life outside the vehicle.

IMG_1154.jpg

And finally, the Colasanti's tradition... hot brown sugary donut goodness with cider!

IMG_1155.jpg

Aaaaand I'm spent.

And I come back from cleaning my kitchen and see a picture of a SNAKE. :dazzle:

Much prefer the goats and bunnies, Dan...although I doubt Krystyna wants to hear the 'twins' word. And I'll never get my husband there if they have llamas.

Not a snake fan?

Not a llama fan?

Not a "twins" fan?

This TR sounds like a real winner so far.

Me too, Jenny!
I love bunnies, like goats, llamas are okay, but I am scared out of mind around snakes and birds. :lookaroun
Especially chickens.
They are freaky!

No, I like it  - just not snakes. :lookaroun

And it's my husband that hates llamas. One spit on him when they had a petting zoo at the Columbus zoo and he has hated them ever since.
It probably didn't help that I couldn't stop laughing...but the look on his face was priceless. :p
