Ok, quick rant here.... I'm sure you other Moms can relate to this....

Why, why, why do friends and family insist on buying my 2 year old son gifts that clearly say, "Choking hazard. Not for under age 3"???? I don't get it! He turned 2 in August, so he's not even 2 and a half, yet my mother and our neighbor both got him gifts that are for ages 3 and up. Then, when I say I"ll put it away until he's older, I get dirty looks. Yes, lots of toys are for 3 and up and it can be hard to find age appropriate gifts, but don't buy him something that's a choking hazard!! :hammer:

I understand your point. I'm not a mom, but I have a nephew who just turned one, and I can't wait until he reaches the age where he stops trying to put everything into his mouth! Besides it isn't like your son will never be able to use those gifts, just not right now.

I have been there. I just don't say anything and then put it up after they leave. If they get it out of the package I was right there and put it up after they left. :lookaroun

Well since it is a new year. I was thinking about resolutions. I normally don't make them but this yr I am trying to make one and stick to it. I will most likely fail but I am going to try.
Here it is.
I am going to go to work and do my job and stay out of my others business. In other words keep to myself so I don't get hurt. Right now my feelings are all on my shoulders and well ya'll might know how it feels to be stepped on once in awhile.

Yesterday I tried to be a friend to someone and she stepped on me and hurt my feelings. I don't want to feel this way but I think it is best if I keep to myself for a while.

What is your resolutions?

So there's one thing I forgot to mention about last night's party. After I left to go get my brother's car...I got a phone call from my brother. My friend's garage was on fire. No one was hurt, but apparently his Corvette was trashed. Poor guy...sounds like he just lost his best friend.

It was definitely an accident. Probably a cigarette butt that didn't get put out all the way. But trashed in how it looks. I haven't seen it yet, but I'm sure it isn't pretty.

I'm so excited about it. My dad found a DVD video camera with a nice discount, so we went to check it out. Well, from that one we looked at a different DVD video camera then at a nice hard drive video camera. After weighing it out, I went with the hard drive (which was what I had really wanted all along). I can't wait to try it out in Disney!
