well that's cool. I suggest either a DVD one or Hard Drive...but I think I lean more towards the hard drive option. I have mini DV and don't really care for it anymore.

I would prefer a hard drive one myself. But it's quite expensive. I probably will be getting a DVD one. There is one on sale.

Hi, Joanna! Nice to see you back. How were your holidays?

Hey Kristen! It was great. I can't wait to read your TR.

When we were looking at camcorders, the guy at Best Buy that was helping us recommended the hard drive one. (which of course are the most expensive ones). We ended up not buying one, cause we didn't think we'd use it enough.

Here's the link to it:

Don't mind me, it's my first TR and I'm quite excited about it! :o

Well, the hard drive on is nice b/c you can then put them on your computer and easily do things like upload to youtube...or you can then put them on DVD if you get a program...I'd assume, which in the grand scheme of things, isn't too bad. I'm just going by what I know is going to happen in the media industry...and Hard Drive is going to be the wave of the future, DVD camcorders are still going to be used, but they won't be as popular in the long run. And you can still get deals on Hard Drive ones, they just aren't as deep as deals b/c 1. DVD camcorders have been out longer and 2. Hard Drive ones are going to be the standard, I believe. Kinda like what happened when Beta and VCR came out. Both will be useful, but VCR won out.

Yeah, you hit it exactly, Nibbs. Soon it will be harder and harder to find anything other than the hard drive ones, just like now it's hard to find movies on VCR tapes...

Hi!

It was 9 days, 8 nights. I think next year we're going to up it to 9 nights/10 days.

I did 8 nights/9 days for my 29th birthday. For my 30th birthday it was planned for 8night/9 days, but on the 8th day I added 2 more nights, making it my biggest DisneyWorld vacation ever at 10 days/11 nights. But for my 31st Birthday I shall break my record again. I first booked my 31st for 13 night/14 days and then added another night making it 14 nights/15 days. That one extra might just somehow makes that vacation seem like it will be longer, so I know that Magic of an extra night :king:

Hi everyone
Happy New Year.

I have a question. In Corey's case he was in the accident and so was his cameras. both are ruined. How does he get the video off the hard drive now? It can not be plugged into the charger or anything since that is what got ruinned. We can turn it on and watch to video but once the battery is out it won't be anygood. He has the last video of James. Only taken 2 weeks before the accident.

Taking a quick break....

Susan - I'd check with a camera repair place and explain how important that video is to you - don't try to mess with it yourself.

Either that or play it and take video of the playback with another camera. You'll lose a lot of quality that way though...

Oh man...that I don't know. You might want to call a videographer in your area and see if there's anything they can do to help. There are no plugs that will work at all in the camera?
