Ridiculous rumors.

SO my friend recently became a cast member and you would not believe the kind of rumors that are spreading amongst them right now (for clarification I know they are all bull hence the title) The first is that splash is going to be rethemed to princess and the frog, the second is that spectro magic is returning which as many know ain't happening. So that being said what is the craziest rumor you have heard from Cm's or any disney employe?

This is one of my favorites, didn't hear it personally but it was posted here a while back:

"When he was at Hollywood Studios he said that there was some construction going on, and he asked one of the CMs what it was for, and he said they told him they would be moving 3 of the rides from Universal (the Marvel ones) to HS. Then - he said he went to Universal a few days later and those rides the CM mentioned were closed down."

They have 3 countries interested in sponsoring pavilions.
EPCOT will lose Norway.
The WS will be expanded into the imagination pavilion.

These may not be all that crazy. I can't think of any others right now.

Given my needs when I'm on a Disney vaca, I'd take solid internet over a fifth gate...

Only had it twice...in the room at the Disneyland Hotel (wired) and at POFQ where it was solid (also wired)...though that year the spotty cellular service worked against me.

How do you guys hear this stuff? Do you ask if there are rumors?

The only stuff I hear from CMs is about how Disney has reclassified hours or seasonal employees or taken away ability to get friends into the park or whatever...basically, when Disney screws them over or does something they don't like. I rarely understand exactly what they're talking about, exactly, but I get the gist.

I rarely hear rumors from employees or managers. I'm not buds with any of the top management people, though.

I am in no hurry when I'm at WDW and like to engage CMs in conversation if they are not busy with other guests. I've only ever had 1 complain; she was working a souvie stand at HS, it was near closing time and I congratulated her on having a stand near a giant fan. She proceeded to tell me that she has a "degree in Business and working a stand for $10/hr. was the best that Disney could do for her". I was surprised as I'd never had a CM complain before, about anything.
