rides you didn't think you'd like but did

Hmm... Test track did not impress me the first go round. However, everytime I ride it, it seems to get increasingly better for some reason.

Also I have to agree with the Indy Speedway. Never rode it, never wanted to.....and then on our last trip my bf and I decided to go for it (after getting tipsy from our wine at Artist's Point). We had a blast!!

ToT was mine. I had never really liked falling or negative G's so I avoided ToT like the plague. A few years ago at a WDWMagic meet another forum member, Slade, applied just the right amount of peer pressure to get me on it and now it is one of my favorite attractions.

After all my years of going to Disney I had never been on Dumbo until my last trip. We were there during MVMCP so there were no lines so we gave it a whirl. It's a cute fun ride. Would definitely do it again!

Also, the Disney Railroad. It's kinda cheesy but a good relaxing trip around the park

Mine is Aladdin. A few years back we hit all the major rides like 5 times each and we looked at Aladdin and said ok we can try. I thought I would get sick but I did not. It was fun but short.

I didn't think I would like ToT either. My husband talked me into going. I was so nervous the first time. I was shaking and sweating. A nice girl next to me was trying to convince me that it wouldn't be that bad. She told me that if I did EE that I could certainly do this. And I ended up loving it! It really is not that bad! Now we just have to get the kids on it!

CoP: We had been to WDW several times before we rode it. DH said, "That sounds so boring!" so we never rode it and didn't argue with him with so many other things to do. After visiting this forum and hearing all the great things about it, DD and I did not give him a choice about riding it. Now, it is one of our favorites.

The Enchanted Tiki Room: Under New Mgmt.

I seemed to remember when I was a kid that it was not all that fabulous and was really hesitant to try it again especially because of some of the new Mgmt (Iago). However this last trip with my DW we went in for a show because it was hot and there was no line.

Well we had a great time. We just relaxed and went with the flow of the show and had fun. We'll be revisiting the Tiki Room this year.

Expedition Everest.

HATE big drops but was shamed into going on EE by my 9 y/o (whom I sorely disappointed by refusing to go with him on TOT). Absolutely loved it -- and the bonus was I embarrassed said 9 y/o by screaming my head off the whole time!

Another vote for Living with the Land. This ride sounds like it'd be positively boring, but it's really one of the most interesting things at Epcot.

For me it's a tie between Test Track and Primeval Whirl. So many people talk smack about those rides that I expected them to be terrible. I like Test Track...I LOVE Primeval Whirl.

Stitch's Great Escape, because of all the mud that gets hurled at it on these boards. But I am a big fan of this attraction, and feels it's millions of times more enjoyable than the building's previous occupant.
Also, Mission: Space - But that's only because I was angry about the loss of Horizons. I still am, but at least it was an EPCOT-worthy replacement, unlike Test Track.

The concept for Soarin' seemed awfully simple to me; just dangling a load of guests over a large screen while a short film takes you on a sight-seeing adventure of California. Its not that I didnt think I would like it, but it didn't seem like it would be good enough to lift my expectations... until you ride Soarin' you really can't get an idea of just how impressive it is...IMO.

I didn't think I'd like Mission Space (orange) because centrifuges scare the heck out of me, but I LOVED it. I got a little woozy, true, but it was such an intense experience, it was really great.

I thought Soarin' would be boring but it's probably my favorite EPCOT ride now. It's just a feel good thing.

I hate Stitch and thought I would hate Stitch's Great Escape, but although I think Alien Encounter was better, I did not mind Stitch so much. I would do it again with someone who's never done such a show before.
