Rides that you recommend a Fast Pass to ride?

It really depends on the crowd level when you are there. We have always had to go in the summer and we get FP's for anything and everything we can. However, if you go during a lighter attended time of year you may not need them at all.

Peter Pan and any of the Mountains at MK. Right after you get your fastpass for one of the Mountains, hop in the standby line for that ride or go ride one of the other Mountains.

I ALWAYS fast pass test track!! ALways.. But also in MK... if you get there early enough you can hit all the mountains pretty quickly. I would fast pass them if you arent an early bird becuase the lines do get long.

It depends what time of year, but in general I would say
Epcot - Soarin', Test Track
MK - All 3 mountains, Peter Pan
AK - Everest, Kali River (in the afternoon)
DHS - TSMM, Tower of Terror, Rock n Roller Coaster

I love threads like this. It proves why Fastpass works so well for those that know how to use it.

OK, that was a snarky response, but in all honesty, Fastpass is all about timing and what you want to see, not just the ride or attraction itself. Any ride or attraction can be experienced without fastpass (or a wait.)

I'll pipe in too...It totally depends on the crowd level, but in general, I would use FastPass for EVERYTHING you can, provided the ride is not 10 minutes or less wait.

Do not get fastpasses for the shows. You can just join the line and it is rare that you would not get admitted to the show of your choice. The one caveat to that is Indiana Jones Stunt Spectacular on a crowded day in the afternoon. IN which case Fast Pass might be your only option.

I will third the Test Track comments-- DO NOT use the Single User line, get a fast pass. Even on the fastest days, the Single Rider line crawls, while fastpass and sometimes even Standby pass you by. THe problem at Test Track is that lots of families go into the Single User Line and just hang out like they were in standby, since they don't mind riding alone. Well that basically defeats the purpose of the Single Rider line as they increase the length of the line twenty to twenty fold. When you see a Single Rider line posted at 15 minutes, you can be assured that it will be at least 30 minutes before you even see the pre-show room. There is another reason that occurs: Test Track breaks down hourly...five or ten minutes later when it restarts, the Single Rider line is absolutely the last priority for oncoming riders, and they will always do FastPass first, then Standby, and then (maybe) a few more single riders.

if the ride offers fastpass and the crowds are heavy...use it.

I agree to not use it on shows. but its different every time. use your judgment. Normally I would not mention Buzz Lightyears Space Ranger Spin but when we went in May...for some odd reason it had a 40 minute wait and the line weaved out the door and Space Mountain's wait was only 20. So we used Fastpass for Buzz. It depends on the wait times. I personally don't wait over 20 minutes for anything...I'll fastpass it or catch it on another day.

If you get to the parks when they open and use Fastpass correctly, you should have no problem hitting up all the big attractions.

I've always only experienced about a 10-15 minute wait at most, while doing the Single Rider Line on Test Track, even on pretty busy days.

Obviously Toy Story and Soarin is a must...

AK: best thing to do is (near opening), go right to EE and fast pass it. Then go right to Safari and wait the fairly short wait. I've always seen way more animals in the morning. Explore everything else and come back to EE later.

MK: do Peter Pan first thing in the morning while it's slow without FP. Then go fast pass big Thunder and ride Splash Mt. After Splash, chances are it'll be close to your FP time at Big Thunder. If not just go later and enjoy some adventureland rides and come back.

But this is why I love early December... Rarely any long waits.

I agree that fastpass is better for a family on Test Track. But I would not say it breaks down every hour and I have done single rider many times and its never been longer that what the sign said.
Also, once I was there and it had broken down and of course they tell everyone you can use your fastpasses anytime later...well we did this and the fastpass line was very backed up and when we reached the end of the line before the pre-show there was only 3, yes 3 people in the regular line even though the sign stated 90 minutes. I say, just use your best judgement with this attraction.

Hmmm...maybe it's the time of year I travel, but I've never needed a FP for Tower of Terror. The line for it seems to fluctuate throughout the day...where one moment it can be an hour, and then in an hour the line is non-existent.
