Rides or "Attractions" that used to scare you

We all have that one ride ( for my instance, a few) or show that used to scare the living daylights out of us. For me it was:
Snow White's Scary Adventures- My goodness.. Old "Haggy" there used to be one of my greatest fears. I remember vividly closing my eyes and ears on that ride. It was a traumatic experience for me! Now that I'm older, I look back and laugh. I really miss SWSA. It's really been a part of my childhood and I wish it wasn't on the cut list during the construction of the FLE.

The Haunted Mansion- Okay those pop-up ghosts in the attic were scary as h***!

Ellen's Energy Adventure- I wasn't really afraid... well maybe. The Big Bang scene was so loud, I honestly thought it blew my eardrums out. Of course I'm exaggerating, but as a child it was traumatic! Also at the end when Ellen screams "look out for the dinosaur!" ,then when the incredibly loud dinosaur roar comes out of nowhere used to make me fly out my seat.

Great Movie Ride- One word: Alien.

Countdown to Extinction- The Carnotaurus was way more scary! The ride itself was way more scary... and BUMPY!

So I used to be a chicken... Now I want to hear about YOU!

The more I think of this question, I realize that I am still afraid of a lot of things. Once in a while I will even still be "surprised" by those ghosts popping out in the cemetery at HM. Even as a late teen, I remember being a bit freaked out on the Snow White ride with the old witch and her crazy big eyes popping out all over the place. On the Dinosaur ride, I am a bit a afraid when you sit there in the dark for what seems like an eternity and at the end with the big dino. I am sort of a big baby when it comes to loud noises, and I am always startled on the Great Movie ride and they when the ride is hijacked by either with the cowboy or the gangster and there is the shootout even though I know what is going to happen. :D I also admit to still being a bit of a chicken on Splash Mountain at the finale with the big drop. I am still trying to convince myself to go on with my kids this August.

Haha the big drop always gets me nervous when you're climbing it, but after the climax I always end up laughing and having a good time!

There were a bunch of rides that I didn't go on until I was older because I got scared easily. It wasnt until last year that I rode the Haunted Mansion, and two years before that I rode Dinosaur for the first time. I rode Snow White for my first and last time in 2011.

The Alien scene on the Great Movie Ride

Fireworks :p

Anything with loud noises. (I'm sensitive to loud noises. )

Prior to my last trip, I avoided Test Track every trip. Why? My head couldn't come to terms about going 65 mph because I had some thoughts that I might pass out or something. Crazy but true! But alas on my last trip, it was my first ride of the day and my first all-time ride in Epcot. Afterwards, I just felt shellshocked after the whole thing. I wasn't happy, I wasn't crying, I wasn't thinking I wanted to ride it again. It was just like I'd seen a Ferrari zoom right past me! Overall, it was just a very different and surreal experience. Even it's not too bad compared to the some other thrill rides, I don't drive that fast to begin with and it's just different than actually driving your own car. It's one thing to gradually speed up to 65 mph when you're driving behind the wheel, but it's another to just suddenly accelerate when you're sitting still to begin with, and you're in the open air, too! Not to mention going through banked turns when all your life you've driven or ridden on flat roads or surfaces! Would I do it again? Well, only one ride a day and in the morning daylight preferably. I don't know if I could handle TT at night!

I used to be scared of quite a bit.

I was scared of HM, Snow White, Maelstrom, GMR, Dinosaur, and KS. Those are the ones that I as scared of after multiple rides. HM was just scary as a kid. Snow White had "Scary Adeventures" in the title, so that was probably it. I was scared of the polar bears and trolls in Maelstrom. Alien scared me, as well as the gangster/cowboy scene in GMR. Dinosaur was the worst, I was just so scared. And I was always afraid one of the wild animals was going to get to us in KS.

Needless to say I was a kid when I was afraid, and I love all of these rides now.

I can honestly say there has never been any ride at Disney World that has ever scared me. We were the young kids laughing at the other young kids who came off Snow White, Haunted Mansion, TOT, Dinosaur, you name it, in tears... Probably sounds terrible, but my brothers and I were fearless. We never got how anyone could be scared of a ride at Disney World.

Countdown to Extinction! The end of that ride was so scary!!!

I was petrified of ToT and now it's my favorite ride. I even took the chicken exit a few times.

Countdown to Extinction was terrifying! I often wonder if I could handle it today!

Lol I forgot to add that darn Polar Bear on the list. I was scared of Maelstrom for the longest time!

I didn't get on ToT until 2009. Mainly nobody in my family wanted to go, I later went with a buddy and I did it, nothing to it.

I haven't ridden Space Mountain since it has been lightly refreshed, the last time I rode it I felt like I was in a dryer.

Alien.

I was about...7 or 8 and my father let me watch Alien. Oddly enough the movie didn't scare me.

But the Great Movie Ride....that had me freaked out. I had to close my eyes and ears for that part of the ride.

Also, Alien Encounter. It's the only Disney attraction where a cast member gets his head bitten off by a giant alien bug, and then their body gets dragged around the room a bit and you get splashed with their blood.

- Snow White: That witch just kept coming... *shudders*
- Pirates and HM: I refused to give these rides a chance. I shut my eyes and stuck my fingers in my ears until they were over.
- Alien Encounter: I screamed and was mad at my parents for the rest of the day.
- Dinosaur: I loved the ride for giving me some fun scares. Now its just too dark to really effect me.
- Tower of Terror: I chickened out when it 1st opened after the pre-show video.
